ReplyDeleteDear whistleblower I have reading many things in this blog.I don't know much about lef and also dont t know why you have developed such an attitude towards lef.but going to courts and complaining against Christian organisation that too when bjp is in the ruling will not be fair. It will damage the work of God not only in lef but in all the organisations.You will be bringing great damage to the church.So I would request u not to encourage people to do such an evil. You are a Christian so have attitude of forgiving people who are in the forefront and toiling for the work of God have many challenges to face.Satan is always there to fight against such ministers and ministries. If some thing gone wrong God will take care of it.I don't have any personal relationship with any of the preachers in fellow ship but I strongly fell it may not be fair to indulge in this kind of things

Whatever we do, we should do it with diligence and care - making sure that in no case, God's holy name is put to shame, or that our actions block others from knowing His saving power because of the human faults - intentional or otherwise. Pl. be informed that neither someone told me nor did I have any affinity for the Fellowship to make this comment; but the comment mentioned above made me feel so sad, that a stranger has to tell us about the value of glorifying the name of the Lord! By this, I do not mean bringing home to the administration its weaknesses and asking them to correct the mistakes which have evidences. Thanks.

3. What will you do if your son whom you sent to a Bible college to be trained to become a pastor comes back home after 6 years and tells you that all he has done in Beulah gardens was to clean the cars of Joshua Daniel in addition to doing hard physical work for 12-16 hours a day.
4. What will you do if your parents are driven out from their ministry with allegations of being robbers after they have faithfully served God in LEF for 40 years?
5. To make things worse, what if this Joseph, Isaiah and Priscilla are respected figures in a church and are going scot - free?
6. What will you do to get justice?
Please put your daughter, sister, mother or wife in the place of a woman who is being forced to do sexual favors to some of these men in LEF and that might help you to see things a little bit differently than the way you are doing now.
Will you still philosophize and talk about not bringing shame to the name of God? What have you done to make things right in LEF or for that matter any abusive church before shedding "crocodile tears" that God's name is put to shame by exposing the evil doings of these bandicoots in churches? Are people who are looting the church and molesting minors and women not doing damage to God's work but people who are reporting these crimes to government are doing damage? Are you hearing yourself as you blabber these things? It is hypocrites like you who empower people who do evil in churches to boldly do what they are doing. These rogues are always counting on fools like you to start giving a sermon anytime somebody tries to expose the wrong doing of these criminals...

If you know nothing or little about LEF, why are you offering an opinion? If you have been following these posts it must be abundantly clear that this involves much more than idle gossip and criticism. It appears that fraud, thieving, hawala, physical, sexual, and psychological abuse have taken place over possibly decades, and are still taking place; that is in addition to routine and unbiblical coercion applied to vulnerable people by self-appointed 'leaders', and all in the name of the Lord Jesus. Surely that is the ultimate blasphemy?
No-one can be blocked from experiencing God's saving power by any human action. He is sovereign in the matter of salvation, just as He is in every other sphere. God's glory is more important even than our salvation, since our salvation was planned in eternity with love, but primarily to glorify God. However God's glory is not upheld by those who simultaneously name His name and flagrantly break His commandments. They are the ones who besmirch His name, not those who seek to make them accountable.
How can you minimise what is happening by describing long-standing evil as 'weaknesses', and by suggesting that all that is required is to 'bring home these weaknesses to the administration' so that these people can 'correct mistakes which are evidenced'. Have you not read here and elsewhere that people have been trying to address these 'weaknesses' with the Daniels and others for at least 15 years? Do you not know that there are Biblically ordained means of dealing with evil within Christian groups, and that they do not include a 'do nothing at all but pray, and then stand back and expect God to deal with it so that I cannot be accused of 'shaming God's name' by bringing it to light' attitude? You write that 'if something had gone wrong then God will deal with it'. God has already dealt with it by giving us the means of making evil-doers accountable described in His Word, and if personal pleas from His children achieve nothing, then by the institution and availability of governments and legal systems, even if these are inevitably flawed by human sinfulnesss. All of this you will find in Scripture if you seriously search.
You may feel uncomfortable, with some justification, about the tone of some of the comments here, but that does not mean that you should try to 'throw the baby out with the bath water'. It is not wrong to bring criminals to justice if they refuse to admit evidenced guilt, repent, and make restitution where necessary.
It not enough for LD ,JJD to say, "My conscience is clear before the Lord." Our actions must be above reproach, "not only in the eyes of the Lord but also in the eyes of men." Whatever system of collecting and distributing funds we choose, it must involve awareness and accountability, with a plurality of character-approved men or women (preferably not chosen by each other but by a church or constituency). Although two character-qualified family members might appropriately sit together on a board, there's no place for the sort of nepotism that makes some organizations top-heavy with underqualified relatives and childhood friends who look the other way instead of fostering accountability.
ReplyDeleteOne of the most telling questions to ask in any church or ministry is this: Who has the courage and authority to tell the decision makers that what they are doing is unbiblical?
In light of the serious consequences of past carelessness, (Vijayawada Land Issue,Bangalore Army Land Issue,Masinagudi Controversy and many such issues)the leaders of organization should review the necessary steps they must take to be (and to appear) financially above reproach in the eyes of God and men—even if the steps are unprecedented and inconvenient.
The bitter truth is they have failed .Let them publish a whitepaper on the controversies and publish the Financial Statements online.
In a Secular or Christian Organization the topic of FINANCES becomes a touchy issue, and this is true in regards to church FINANCES.
ReplyDeleteSome of this is understandable. If a person is sacrificially giving to a church, it is good for that person to show an interest in how the FINANCESare managed. In some churches, virtually every financial decision is subject to a congregational vote. In other churches, no one other than the pastor and/or a few leaders know how the FINANCES of the church are being managed. The biblical balance is somewhere in between.
The Bible does not record the early church having expense reports or budgetary meetings. The pattern appears to be that the church entrusted a leader (or leaders) with the FINANCES, and then those leaders managed the FINANCES. Romans 15:25-28 and 1 Corinthians 16:1-4 record churches taking up a collection and then giving the money to Paul and a group of others for distribution. How is a church today to follow this pattern? Given the lack of explicit biblical instructions, it appears that God desires some freedom on this issue. Can a church have a board, whether it be elders, deacons, or trustees, who oversee financial decisions? Yes. Can a church congregation provide input and have oversight of major financial matters? Yes. Can a church appoint a single person, such as a treasurer or senior pastor, to be in charge of all the finances? While this method lacks accountability, we do not have a clear biblical prohibition, so the answer still has to be “yes.”
Far more important than the who of church finances is the how. How are the church finances being managed? If a church’s finances are being managed with honesty, integrity, good stewardship, and transparency, then, ultimately, it does not matter who has the financial oversight. A committee can misuse finances just as surely as an individual can. A church should be extremely careful regarding the person or persons to whom it gives control of the finances. The qualifications of “not a lover of money” and “manages his own household well” (1 Timothy 3:3-5) should definitely apply.
Financial scandals have destroyed or damaged countless churches. And, in most of those cases, there has been a lack of accountability and transparency. Keeping receipts on every staple and paperclip may be a little too much, but a church definitely should keep records on how much is spent on salaries, benefits, utilities, maintenance, etc. A congregation should be able to have utmost confidence in their leaders’ abilities to steward the church’s finances wisely.
Now for some difficult questions.
1.Does anyone know who are the members of the LEF Trust ?.Where is this information available ?.Why is this not present in the LEFI website and why did they fail to publish it in the Christ is Victor.
2.All people in the LEF trust are expected to be Yes Men.I heard that a certain elderly person signed hundreds of blank Cheques.I was also told of the members of the trust signing on a blank paper.
3.Why did IC return some money (Rs.300000 or USD 5000 to the Organization).Was that restitution or was he trying to buy his way back to the Trust.
4.Does the organization have a list of employees.And if they do are they paying them any wages.Are those employees covered under NPS (National Pension Scheme),ESI ,EPF etc.
5.We have reliable information that IC who was the blue eyed boy of the deceased great man doctored the Statements submitted to Registar of Societies,Govt of Tamilnadu.I am prepared to publish a 100 page document in PDF format on the many irregularities this whistleblower site has not published yet.Are LD & JJD prepared to discuss it with me .Let them respond to every controversy on a video recorded session .We will publish it in youtube.
LD and JJD are extremely arrogant and will not bother to address the burning issues.It is time we reach the logical end and it is perfectly ok to send e-representaitons to the highest authority int he country.

DeleteAs regards 'can a church appoint a single person etc. etc?': I think an important point to be derived from this question is that a church may do anything which is not in contravention of Biblical commands and principles, but such decisions have to be made by 'the church'. Who is 'the church'? Not one person, or a select few within a larger number, but all of those who profess to know and love the Lord Jesus, having repented of their sin and having put their trust in Him as their Redeemer, and who have agreed to worship together, under the headship of Christ, in a certain location. In short, a church may delegate certain tasks such as finances to one, or a few, of its number, but that delegation must reflect the majority decision of the whole local church - hence the need for keeping a record of those admitted to local church membership (again, in accordance with the above definition, and as the result of a majority vote by existing members) and hence having voting rights. In order for the views of the whole local church membership to be expressed and heard, there needs to be some kind of regular church meeting, or extraordinary meeting if required. No truly godly pastor or group of elders would make significant decisions without the majority mandate of the whole local church. Whilst the Bible is not always specific, one can nevertheless detect principles through the events and experiences recorded.
Although the churches referred to in the New Testament were very much in their infancy, and the Canon of Scripture had not yet been completed when the epistles were written, it is fairly evident that over time the church was becoming a cohesive body of believers which depended less and less on the physically present authority of the apostles. They had, little by little, their letters - the as yet incomplete Word of God - and I think that those letters indicate that those who wrote them expected local believers more and more to select their own leaders and, as a body, take communal responsibility for everything that took place amongst them.
I believe that when Paul instructs us that every member of the Body is important, even those who appear to be engaged in more menial tasks, he is not merely reassuring those who may feel inadequate by comparison with others, but emphasising every member's need to be actively and prayerfully involved in the church's decision-making process.
The LEF has never developed into properly constituted local churches, and hence the problems of corruption which have developed and are now being exposed. You cannot put new wine into old wine skins. Better to start again with fresh containers.
It would appear that Mr. N. Daniel evangelised with enthusiasm, but stopped short of instructing converts as to how they should organise themselves Biblically into local church groups, ultimately independent of any need of his personal leadership: a fatal flaw in his ministry, sadly......
The one man show business is dangerously scary in LEF. Late JD in layman terms was an egoistic narcissist, who always craved for the lime light on LEF pulpits. LEF stages during Annual retreats and other major meetings reek of Daniel family stench. What accountability can we expect from an organization whose head had a bloated image of himself. He craved to be the center of attraction even when he couldn't coherently speak due to heavy medication he was under. Delegation of tasks to improve efficiency is unheard of in LEF. The irony is that Daniel family projected late JD's extreme obsession with being the center of attraction as his "ZEAL" for God's work. Now, we have the next joker, JJD who is afflicted with the same “egoistic narcissism syndrome.” This obsession of this family to control people, finances and administration of LEF is the reason for the decay we see all around LEF. Egoistic narcissists cannot take constructive criticism and are hence always surrounded by “YES MEN.”

DeleteI was struck last Sunday by the contrast between the manner and expectations of JD, and those of the pastors of two small churches I attend, one in the city (pastored by JG), and the other by the sea (pastored by PG).
DeleteJG is a man in his late fifties, an extremely sound and gifted expository preacher, and a caring and active pastor. On Sunday mornings, before taking the service, JG collects two elderly and disabled members of his small congregation in his car, and gently assists them to take their seats in the little church. Although he is not slow to preach about sin and repentance, he has makes everyone present feel that he cares deeply about him or her as an individual, and that this love is only a pale reflection of the love that Jesus has for them. JG promotes a weekly Sunday tea in the church, to which the homeless are cordially invited, which he himself attends faithfully, and where he takes a lead in chatting informally to people who are often immersed in drug and alcohol problems. He then takes the evening service. JG instituted a cooked breakfast for homeless people every Tuesday. They themselves asked for a Bible study, which JG gladly gives. JG is the servant of his little flock, not paraded as its master. The respect he receives comes spontaneously as a result of his God-centred preaching allied with his giving and godly nature. JG once studied at a prestigious college. He earn his living making pottery. His ministry has been punctuated by extreme family tragedy, but this has only served to strengthen his preaching.
The other pastor, PG, is in his late seventies. He, also, is a sound and uncompromising preacher. Despite painful arthritis and joint replacement surgery he rarely deserts his pulpit, never his flock, and is always available to troubled souls. He has held pastorates in both the UK and the USA, and has run a theological institution, and by contrast also a Christian hotel with his wife. At Christmas they open their modest home to anyone who would like to come. He and his wife, also with chronic health problems, sometimes cook meals for the whole church so that we can enjoy fellowship. PG produces literature to encourage sound theology. They are not about himself. PG had a normal career before he answered God's call to the ministry.
Both JG and PG epitomise that 'each should esteem other better than self'. They are one with, and shepherds of, their flocks. They never draw attention to their 'humbleness'. They never make theatrical declarations of 'how little they have done' for the Lord. They lead by means of love, and by both Divine and church appointment.
JD was a man who appeared to expect reverence from all as his due. A man who was never seen to join in with others in the routine tasks of life, but was routinely waited upon. A man who 'held court' in his room to queues of apparently dependent 'fans'. A man who segregated himself from the 'common masses', who never took a meal with us or joined in with our 'non-spiritual' activities (in fact he decried the need for such flippancies, maintaining that every moment should be spent reading our Bibles and praying. A man who had allegedly never had employment, never earned his own living, but was not slow to dictate to others what careers they should pursue, and where. A man who allowed himself to be advertised as 'Joshua Daniel, MA', or 'Dr. Joshua Daniel', even though his academic studies had nothing to do with theology, and to the best of my knowledge he had neither studied medicine nor gained a Ph. D. A man who, despite his advertised degree in English literature, produced embarrassingly badly-written books which were largely about himself, his ministry, and his family.
However those who encourage gurus to be gurus also have much to answer for. LEF people encouraged this man to be as he was.
They all share a surname Daniel, It is a Pop and Mom and Children store. This information is not available anywhere and the family will not publish it least the people come to know that they are a bunch of wolves hiding in sheeps clothing. The first family's main hobby is to act poor and humble and work is to steal from everywhere and everybody. If people come to know then the questions will start and so such info was carefully hidden

There is no list of employees all are volunteers and so the only NPS in the LEF is National Poverty Scheme (except for the first and great Daniel family). My wife helped to raise around Rs. 30,000/- at the request of Emmanuel on behalf of BETHANY LEPROSY CENTRE for his ministry purpose( to purchase a radio segment) at an International crusade held at this place. After few days my wife went and asked about the fund raised and how much is required further to buy the radio segment at local FM. he said, If you are still interested "You pray GOD will give YOU" in an irrespective and insulting attitude. My wife was very hurt and upset since he told her he wants to buy radio segment for LEF and as she already talked to the programme director that he may buy it. But since Emmanuel could not afford the amount required to buy the segment my wife helped him to raise upto the above said amount. Now, where is the raised amount gone and how it has been used there is no clarification. When ever she asks him he never gives a proper answer, but says If you are still interested "You pray GOD will give YOU", as if my wife is interested in buying the segment for LEF. Till date he did’nt buy any segment and nobody knows where the fund gone.

3. Emmanuel’s wife told him “nobody believes in you because you tell lies”.
4. when a kid of about 2 years was sick in one family, I told Mr emmanuel “bro. let’s go and pray for the kid”. His immediate answer was “since, they don’t give tithes these things happen”.

6. One person told he is not an evangelist but a good co-ordinator.
7. Once he took a person to Beulah Gardens and said to him “if anyone asks about the number of people attend the fellowship, tell them it is around 100 members. But at that time only 25-30 members attend.

On one Sunday from the stage he preached that “he belongs to the priest’s(Levites) family since he and his father(late) are serving the lord that they should not work and their needs will be provided by others as 11 tribes. While in the bible God says “that if any would not work, neither should he eat” 2 Thessalonians 3:10.
9. Emmanuel’s wife in her prayer time she quiet often mentions that “We don’t want money, but only souls” it that is so why do they beg money from others.
10. Emmanuel mentioned once my wife as beast. I felt very sad.
11. He gives wrong image about the native people of this place.
12. He grabs sheep from other denominations.

There is a lot of persecution happening in India and Christians no longer feel safe. And such letters am sure are one reason no one gives a damn about Christians in India. Where is brotherly love and forgiveness? Where is the Bible? I see so much hate. If this heaven is what I am to look forward to(all the hate speech and pointing fingers) then I rather not go there. Such wonderful Christian lives that we live. It's a terrible testimony to have. Shame!

DeleteIt is the case that some blogs here are expressing great anger, and their way of expressing it is not always the best. But you too have used language which might be termed offensive in a Christian context. It is also sad that since the misdeeds now highlighted are at last being made more public, they perhaps do serve as more fuel against Christians generally, in a country where there seems to be increasing persecution.
However it appears that much evil has been done by those who name the name of Christ towards those whom they are meant to be respecting and helping as brethren and fellow Christians, even pastoring. Where was the brotherly love then? As for forgiveness, one can only forgive someone who is repentant. If you know your Bible you will know that God's forgiveness is only available to those who have repented of their sin. When Jesus advocated 'seventy times seven' in connection with forgiveness, he was talking about forgiving Christian brethren who, although sinning repeatedly, on every occasion expressed repentance and meant it. Most Christians know that they repeatedly sin, even though others may be unaware of it. We are in a fierce battle against a powerful enemy. We have the victory assured, but we don't win all the skirmishes. In the setting of the local church (and sadly LEF has no properly governed local churches, which is why this sorry history of sin has come about and festered) church members who are known to be committing open sin, and are unrepentant, must eventually be excluded from fellowship by agreement of the local church until they do acknowledge their sin and repent of it. In the Bible forgiveness is not some vague 'niceness' which allows some to damage others, but coerces the damaged ' others' into grinning and bearing it anyway! Observe how firm Paul was in denouncing in his letters those who abused their positions of leadership in the church; remember how Jesus turned over the tables publicly in the temple, and the language he used publicly when calling the Pharisees 'whited sepulchres'.
No non-Christian is going to respect a Gospel which permits Christian groups deliberately to cover up blatant law-breaking, abuse, and all the other matters you have been reading about. Should such things be allowed to continue only so that outsiders do not witness the 'shame' they bring?
Just a thought: if you feel inclined to apologise for the language you have used, perhaps the more unrestrained and irate amongst the bloggers you criticise might be encouraged to follow your example.
First of all LEF is neither a Church nor a Christian Organization.It is the family enterprise of the Daniels sugarcoated as missionary movement,church,school and what else.

It is very important to report them to the government to bring some order.

This group has become more and more legalistic, following the rules and regulations of the leader and Christ is thrown out.If Daniels are accused of money laundering ,robbing the church and other misdeeds, what was the role played by the evangelists in each centre who faithfully collect the tithe and offerings and transport them to LEF Head. The poor and the innocent/ ignorant are exploited and abused. By the time they realise this, they would have wasted the precious years of their life in vain and are totally confused as to what to do next . More than reporting to the Government, I feel the right thing to do now is to make the people in the LEF aware of the mismanagement and there should be awakening in every centre of the fellowship. People should be advised against staying on in LEF and bring tithes and offering to the daniel family.I think it is a very difficult task since a large number of people donot read these blogs. So there should be efforts to disseminate this info through other media such as pamphlets etc which every one can easily get.Even then the people may find it difficult to believe. Till it is done the situation will continue like this forever. In India people are all so innocent and they believe every one who has a Bible and preach. Mission work has become a big business now...... very sorry to say this . but the truth remains.More people in LEF should be reached with the adverse facts about the first family
