A LETTER ADDRESSED TO LILY DANIEL ASKING FOR ANSWERS AND EXPLANATIONS

Here is a letter written by a senior person of LEF asking Lily Daniel for some answers and explanations. Not sure if her highness has responded to this letter. It is just a matter of time before which she, her beloved son and her darling daughter will need to come out with answers not only to this letter but many many more...

  1. Such letters will lead to nowhere as the rouge family has no shame, they will continue to gather and spend offering money, all the while looking so grand spiritual greats. Useless people, stop giving any money to the LEF and all abuse will stop, like the mushrooms which stop growing once the rain stops.

  3. Thank you to this gentleman for having had the integrity to write to Lily Daniel in such plain terms. Just a comment about 'the will of God' aspect. God's will is never determined by any consciousness of a single Bible verse. This is one of the many problems associated with LEF teaching. Anyone can claim that 'God gave me this verse...' and then proceed to do whatever he/she feels inclined to on that basis. They may (or in cases that we have seen here, may not!) genuinely believe that God has spoken to them because a random verse comes to mind. However God's guidance comes through a thorough understanding of the principles underlying the whole of the Bible, allied with God-given common sense as it should apply in any situation. Claiming little 'private messages' from God because one becomes conscious of a verse or two is no way to interpret God's will; this can and does lead to the kind of abuses we are now seeing on this site.

This does not mean that God never brings brief passages of Scripture to one's mind. This often happens at times of distress or grief, to console or hearten us as individuals. Whether or not to embark on a venture such as buying land for a centre is a completely different situation, which involves many people and many practical considerations. In such cases the prayerful opinions of all those involved should, as far as possible, be sought, together with any practical expertise necessary.

Therefore the question to Lily Daniel should not be about which single verse 'inspired' her husband to buy land for any centre, but how many godly and knowledgeable people (largely church members, but then Joshua Daniel despised the Biblical concept of church membership and the need for 'committees', and one can see why!) were asked to consider and vote on such proposals. Normally a record would be kept of meetings called to debate and then decide, by independent vote, on the outcome; during the meeting church members would have the opportunity to present different views.

By enquiring which verse impelled the Daniels to make such decisions, this courageous brother has tended to confirm the LEF teaching that verses appearing out of the blue can be regarded as due and proper reason for embarking on a course of action (although I expect that was not his intention).

Divine guidance is only one aspect of distorted teaching prevalent in the LEF. All distorted teaching leads inevitably to wrong thinking and actions. I would urge all those involved in the LEF to study for themselves, to confirm or deny what they may have imbibed over many decades.....

A good systematic theology will help. Robert Reymond, or Berkhof are recommended as classics. Read books by reputable publishers such as Banner of Truth. Stay away from the misleading TV programmes broadcast by Revelation TV, or Trinity Broadcasting Network. Discard people like Joyce Meyer, or the Crystal Cathedral/Schuller school of thought.

Thank you again to the anonymous gentleman. You make many excellent points .....sad that Lily Daniel will not have either the humility or the concern for true righteousness which might inspire her to respond.

    1. Thank you very much for sharing your thoughts on "God s will and guidance" as understood in LEF circles. There is a lot of misguidance! Many are affected by the distorted teaching . It leads them to be dependent on some elders and eventually there is a lot of misery and pain. For eg. in the matter of marriage, there is no proper counsel. Too much control and so many unwritten rules like not allowing children to marry outside the LEF.I know some girls ( now women ) who come from non LEF backgrounds either remaining single or marrying very late in their life. Some times when we look at all these man made rules diligently followed one really wonders whether LEF has become a cult which might have been originally started with missionary zeal.

    2. I realised that LEF is cultish nearly ten years ago. It is hard to say when this began, as I am not familiar with the nature of the organisation much earlier than about fifteen years ago. However this problem seems to have arisen because its founder, Mr. N. Daniel, failed to observe Biblical guidance on the setting up of independent, self-governing local churches, which is the normal objective of Christian missionary activity. The result has been a certain immaturity amongst converts, in that they remain highly dependent on a 'leadership' which has never changed, and which has not been appointed according to New Testament principles, which in turn leaves them open to abuse and erroneous teaching. The bizarre LEF practice connected with marriage is one example of the kind of abuse by self-appointed leaders that inevitably follows lack of obedience to God's pattern for His church, as set out in the NT.

Whilst it is not easy to throw off the spiritual, physical, and emotional chains forged by cultishness, it is quite possible. Stop attending LEF meetings, and stop giving money is the first step. It seems that some people may be dependent on LEF premises for their homes. Perhaps family members can help out - I suspect that some family members might be relieved to learn that their loved ones have severed ties with LEF, perhaps more than you think! People are at last daring to voice their concerns, and some seem determined to make the leadership accountable. In the meantime, surely legal ownership of LEF properties needs to be established. If it transpires that they are registered in the names of people who did not actually produce the money to buy them themselves, but used tithes and offerings, then that cannot have been either morally or legally right, and it is hard to see how such illicit ' property owners' can legally eject those currently living in them. Nevertheless I do not wish to appear to underestimate the problems inherent in the situations of those who wish to escape LEF domination, but are uncertain and afraid.

Post New Testament, at least, Divine guidance is not normally given to someone for whom it is not intended. So if a member of the Daniel family, or anyone else claiming leadership, tells you that 'God told me that you should do this, or that', and God has not made this completely and independently clear to you, then you can safely ignore it, whether or not that person claims guidance in respect of you as the result of a random Bible verse which might appear to fit the circumstances.

The best course of action is to become 'Bereans', and test everything that you have hitherto taken for granted as being Biblical (because Joshua Daniel taught it) 'to see if these things be true'. Meet together (unencumbered by any Daniel, or any Daniel acolyte) and discuss the Scriptures freely and openly. Pray together as seems fit and proper to you, not slavishly following the pattern of long, over-emotional outpourings encouraged by Joshua Daniel, but soberly asking the Spirit to direct your prayers aright. Volubility and dramatic utterances are not the same thing as Godliness!

Although I do not live in India, and have never been in thrall or subservient to Joshua Daniel and the LEF, my thoughts and prayers are constantly with you all at this time. There is a true Christian freedom that most LEF people have yet to experience , but it is there for the taking, and Jesus died in order that every believer should experience it.

    3. Thanks for the excellent comment and counsel by Anonymous on 14 March 2015 at 18:11. While many are (rightly) commenting about the corruption of influential persons, very few have directly blamed Joshua Daniel and probably nobody has blamed Mr. Daniel. The problem must have begun with Mr. Daniel himself as you have pointed out. I don’t know why many complain about LEF but refuse to leave. Actions speak louder than words!
Your comment about guidance is excellent. Readers please learn to hear God’s voice and don’t substitute God with a LEF leader. There is nothing wrong in marrying non – LEF Christians. Don’t waste yours or your child’s youth waiting indefinitely for a LEF spouse. Study the Bible as the Bereans did (Acts 17:10 - 12). You should find helpful articles on my site.

  4. We are praying and waiting for God's timing in finding an end to this embarrassment to Christianity called LEF.

if the government strictly goes by the rulebook IC,LD and JJD will soon be behind bars.

    1. If you and everyone else involved in LEF simply stopped attending its meetings and giving it financial support, your prayers would be answered and the timing would be now! There are times when simply praying and waiting are counterproductive. God has already given you the means of bringing this 'embarrassment to Christianity' to an end, and those means do not involve anything that might be regarded as wrong or premature. Just leave, no matter what the government may decide to do (or not do).

It is not my intention to criticise your post, but just to encourage you all to act with God-given confidence in this matter. 'Can two walk together unless they agree?' Are we not warned to avoid being 'unequally yoked'? It is a common device of LEF leaders to tell people to 'go and pray about it', especially where they fear that someone else's more immediate action might be a disadvantage to their own dubious purposes; when they themselves want to embark upon an undesirable action, or avoid a desirable course of action, they will respond with 'I shall pray about it' (the answer to their 'prayer' is invariably an 'instruction' from God to do what they themselves want to do in the situation, and if someone should be unhappy about it, that hapless person is chastised for doubting or disobeying the will of God). Do not let the remnants of questionable LEF practice hinder your current desire to rid yourself of evil.

I well recall that the greatest preacher of the 20C, Dr. Martyn Lloyd-Jones, when speaking about the subject of prayer, observed that people so often pray for an outcome for which God has already given them the means or the answer in His Word! One example was praying for holiness......

  6. Does the person who left a comment on 13 March 2015 at 09:51, also suggest the same be done against him? Throwing the first stone is assigned to those who are faultless!

    1. Hello Anonymous commenter @10:17. I'm sure you are one among the thieves. Dont do all this jokes and natak (Drama). You people are good at preaching to others being the biggest bandicoot, which is obvious based on your comment .

Hooo so is this what your principle and policies are. No no is faultless. So I can do any thing I want. And if any one questions You will say you can stone me if you are faultless.

People look at the 3rd rated mentality of these shameless guys. I feel ashamed looking at you commennt.

Dear readers. We know devil tempted Jesus with word of God. This guy is trying to do the same. So we know who you guys are off.

    2. To Anonymous, 13 March at 10.17: if the contributor to whom you refer has committed the same offences as it appears the Daniels et al. seem to have done, then yes, he too should be similarly dealt with. God has given us governments to govern us and laws to protect us. It is ridiculous to suggest that, rather than make use of these, we should allow illegal actions to go un-judged and unpunished simply because Jesus on one occasion publicly displayed mercy towards a particular sinner for a particular purpose. Your comment about 'casting the first stone' is typical of LEF teaching, which allows anyone to declare anything on the basis of a single verse or a single incident in Scripture. As Christians we must trace principles throughout the Bible, and the overriding principle here is that judgement always precedes mercy (and mercy cannot be taken for granted).

    3. To Anonymous13 March 2015 at 10:17.

Jesus took whip and drove out the people that did business in the temple of God. Is this not in your bible.

Is this only for the sheep and not the shepherd????

All this is proof to the the heights of perverseness and wickedness that is prevalent among the so called leaders of the LEF.

The state is such the sheep has to correct the leaders. Like the donkey spoke to Blaam. If this is the case how are you going to build gods work.

As a leaving member of LEF I tell you guys you are spoiling and have already brought Shame and disgrace to the name of God.

  7. Sure, let us see if LEF thinks it can buy the PM's office just like they tried to buy TN government using stooges to bribe up and down the ladder. Your nonsense logic of
"Throwing the first stone is assigned to those who are faultless" doesn't work in secular world. Keep your nonsense preaching within the four walls of LEF lest people throw stones at you for being insane

  8. JD, LD and LLD, work on a good sermon to a judge in a court who orders to put you all in jail when all this comes to courts asking him to throw a stone at you all only if he is faultless"

    1. HEllo Anonymous @ 10:17 Are u a thief yourself or in deception due to the false teachings. Don 't quote the BIble for your convenience. Going by your suggestion we can close down the courts and all forms governance and wait for the FAULTLESS to throw the first stone and I hope you may follow the faultless in throwing stones. What is wrong in reporting to the elected Govt any fraud taking place with public money. Do you think LEF is above the law of this Land? This kind of mentality is the root cause of all the problems in LEF. Very shocking to know that senior leaders sign empty papers and cheques without realising the consequence. It might definitely induce others to make financial frauds.

  9. Throw the stone... Then why Bible. Laws. Courts.Police. Rules. Jails. I think this comment was written by looney callu baby and team. Too much easy money had robbed his little brain. hope the commenter was at least given a mouldy salt biscuit by LD and JJD

  10. "Throwing the first stone is assigned to those who are faultless"?? Did we have the same standard when they were publicly castigating their eldest daughter and throwing her under the bus because she effects the halo around the family??? Didnt they practically throw stones all over her from LEF stages all around India??? What flaming pants on fire hypocrites are these????

  11. My expectation from LEF and from its present leadership is summarized from the following passages in the Bible.

    Jeremiah 6:16

This is what the Lord says:“Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls. But you said, ‘We will not walk in it.’

    Isaiah 58:12

Those from among you will rebuild the ancient ruins; You will raise up the age-old foundations; And you will be called the repairer of the breach, The restorer of the streets in which to dwell.

    1 Corinthians 3:11

For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ.

Lily and John are ordinary human beings with breath on their nostrils. They are distanced themselves far from Jesus and his ways. They must repent .Their foundations are shaky.LEF is not a Bible Based Church. It is a cult idolizing the daniels who have the instruments of the Devil.

  12. It would be good if LEF opens centers in East Godavari District (Peddapuram) or Guntur District (Chilakaluripet) and appoint IC as the evangelist there.I am sure he will do a good ministry getting a lot of souls.
