When marriages are brokered by people who do not know the individuals whose marriages they are brokering, they will result in collateral damage. One such marriage brokered by Lily Daniel seems to taunting her and the wicked old woman now seems to be stuck between the devil and the deep sea. A marriage that is supposed to be a celebration of union between two individuals and their extended families has turned into living hell for many in LEF. The immaturity of the parents and their obsequious behavior made them to hand over the marriages of their children to Lily Daniel and other such marriage brokers in LEF and this is now seem to be causing enormous trauma to everybody related to the couple. While the particulars of how and what went wrong in this particular marriage is really not something I want to focus on, I would definitely like my readers to draw their attention to the poor conflict resolution skills of LEF leadership. John Daniel, an immature fool that he was used the LEF May retreat to tell some juicy stories about the couple whose marriage was already in great deal of turmoil. What purpose did this serve except give publicity to a bad situation that is now made worse as the story is promoted by John Daniel to become the headline of the gossip column of LEF's unofficial tabloid magazines? Of course, John Daniel took sides with the side that he thought was wronged while his mother Lily Daniel passively supported the other side as she has close family ties with other party and it is believed that Lily Daniel gave LEF board memberships to the members of this family. John Daniel who works in the style of a bull in a China shop kicked up a riot with his mad ramblings from his pedestal in that God forsaken retreat that concluded a couple of weeks ago. All of this turmoil and emotions raising high (thanks to John Daniel's generous contribution of making bad things worse) just precipitated with a sudden death in one of the families. Some rather unpleasant and ugly things are reported to have happened during the funeral by people concerned by using a small child from the family as pawn to show the strength of one side over the other side. Then the whole family apparently ran to the police station and the police finally did what was legally correct. Just like there was no respect to the institution of marriage that Lily Daniel brokered in this family, there was no respect for the departed soul around whose dead body all of this ugliness took place. How I wish that someone pulled Lily Daniel also to the police station and handed over this old witch to the police and told them that Lily Daniel was the author of this marriage and many such marriages that have become a hell for many LEF families...

ReplyDeleteI am not taking sides or naming people but my analysis is that an innocent girl from a good LEF family was offered to the son born of a very complicated marriage: an Unstable person with mental disorders. The only reason was that the boy's parents are related to LD.
LEF leadership and evangelists must not broker peoples marriages.They have crossed the line of decency by stepping into peoples lives by asking them to confess their sins to the evangelist if someone is converting or repenting.They encourage people to profess their sinful life in testimonies.There is less mention of how Jesus saved them but people are encouraged to speak on how evangelist X or Y and Bro Joe counselled them and led them to the lord.After this comes marriage.They use the phrase Will of God and ask converts and believers to marry a person of their choice.If the Bride or Groom's family ask questions about the prospective match they are accused as people who do not have faith.If they reject a proposal they are branded as disobedient people.The girl in this messy marriage was also pushed into this marriage .Had she rejected the proposal LEF and especially the Daniel Family would have branded her as a ungodly girl under the influence of the Devil.

DeleteYou missed out on how the leadership of LEF handpicks pretty girls or rich girls and proposes them as brides to their dear Friends .They also find guys earning well and propose them for children of Evangelists and Big Shots in LEF considered close to the Daniel Family.Discrimination based on social status caste and some other factors exist in LEF .

Girls above 17 must start praying about your future and ask God to help them make the right choices.
It is wrong to totally reject the concept of Love Marriages as adultery and lust of the flesh or lust of eye.
Parents who have daughters must network with Christians and believers outside LEF who share similar values and have some commonality with your beliefs and scout for prospective grooms.
There are many Godly boys in other churches .The Boys who claim to be converted,born again and believers in LEF are influenced by the daniel family's preachings and so their spiritual standard is questionable.Most of these LEF guys have been fed a lot of negative stuff about relationships and so when they get into a marriage they do not know how to relate with their wife.For everything they will run to the evangelist who would use this opportunity to collect details about the problem and illustrate it in a Sunday Message.
Parents .Do a proper background check on the groom and if you have doubts please reject the proposal.
FInally a long wait for Mr.Right is better that marrying the wrong person.
While choosing a lifepartner please evaluate the words of Jesus as given in Matthew chapter 7.

You cannot marry a person from a family of lunatics and expect to live a happy life.You cannot marry a guy or girl born in a unstable family who have no values or shallow values and expect them to change after marriage.
Girls who evaluate a prospective guy must carefully analyze the family background of the guy and the scrutiny must include the grooms father.Boys learn good and bad from their fathers.
In the case of Boys who are searching for a life partner they must do a due diligence on the prospective bride's family which must include an scrutiny on the role of the bride's mother in the family and on her social conduct.Thats because girls inherit good and bad qualities from their mothers.
Please do not rush and make decisions quick.It is better to wait and go slow on a major decision in life than to regret over it after marriage.

In the name of doing God's will, people are enslaved to follow the dictates of preachers who once thought that such bondages under Joshua Daniel were a form of godly spiritual discipline. Why don't these poor people first study how their leaders like JD married? While JD head followed his own rule in marriage, he imposed marriage that he assumed as doing God's will... Later when some preachers' children broke his rule regarding marriage, the parents/ preachers were fired or chased out of the LEF ministry.. The beginning of deterioration in leadership...till now left uncorrected..

More testimonies from those who have ceased to support LEF, please.......just to know that you have understood the sad and unpleasant truth about LEF and sought, or would like to seek, Christian fellowship in genuinely Bible-based groups is an encouragement to others; we know through personal contacts that so many are doing this, but WB readers who are more isolated need to see evidence of it here.
Just a thought.......better that lack of support for LEF causes Beulah Gardens to cease business and be sold off in aid of some charitable purpose, than that it is turned into some kind of mini-Taj Mahal maintained in honour of the late Joshua Daniel.
