Please consider the following while assessing the usefulness of this "retreat" for the young people whom the evangelists and preachers of LEF managed to herd to Madras:
1. Who are the preachers?
A. Lily Daniel : 80+ year old woman who was hid in the closets of LEF till her husband finally vacated the pulpit on account of his death.
Qualification: A doctor who never practiced. A woman who failed to bring up her own children in the "holiness" path that she wanted the young children to walk. How do we know that she failed to bring up her own children in the "holiness" path?
1. The TV star Betty Daniel is currently into her third marriage.
2. The youngest one Lydia Daniel who is officially unmarried is alleged to have had live-in relationship with at least one guy in the past.
B. Arthur Hill : The Australian old man who seems to have very little credibility of his own. Interestingly he happens to be a sponsor/visiting preacher at another church that is based in Hyderabad, India.
Wonder what Daniel clan thinks of that!!! Don't they have a non-compete agreement that they make their preachers sign? We know LEF preachers cannot even think of ever entering another church to preach. Isn't it true that LEF people are forbidden from entering another church and entering another church would be as offensive as entering mosque/temple/synagogue?
Qualification: He is referred to as doctor. Let us not bother to find out what kind of doctor he is. The less we know the better off we are.
C. Johannes: The German by birth whom Joshua Daniel managed to bring into London more or less with a status of a "slave" is now having to do double duty as John Branch,"Daniel family's heart throb,"is busy on a honeymoon with his secretary who became his second wife recently.
Qualification: Qualified enough to be noticed by Joshua Daniel to be a "trusted soldier/slave."
D. Miscellaneous Preachers: There was a show from a group of doctors. Little is known about their professional expertise. Two of the women doctors happen to be wives of Lily Daniel's lackeys. The third doctor from Kashmir has her own sob story. She was a woman who though married was advised by Joshua Daniel to abandon her marriage and thereby "stand" for the Christ. People like her an asset to people like Joshua Daniel and Daniel family goons as they are at the beck and call of this corrupt family. Some of these doctors do all the hard work to make LEF and Joshua Daniel look good. Now Lily Daniel seems to be taking the credit for things she never contributed in any positive way. Of the three men doctors, one of them was reported on this blog to be behaving inappropriately with other women and young girls. The other two male doctor seem to be trying their best not to fall out of the favor of Lily Daniel.
E. John Daniel: How can we forget him? He is the "STAR" of the show...or at least thinks he is !!!
Qualification: Unemployed father of 5 children. Swears up and down that he never touches the money from LEF. Claims to live by faith and exercise faith for all his needs and his huge family's needs. Wonder if John Daniel has some kind of hook up with the "GOD" up there who periodically opens up the skies and throws a bag of money for John Daniel and his family to use. Now that they believe Joshua Daniel is up there, he might be doing more and more interceding (readers might remember that Betty Daniel claimed on her Facebook page that her dad who is in heaven is making intercessions for all wretched people on earth who are missing Joshua Daniel's physical presence) to influence God to throw two bags of money instead of one. Alternately, it is also possible that John Daniel's five daughters are taking care of all the pets in Novi, Michigan and that's how John Daniel pays for all his living and traveling expenses. Imagine John Daniel, his wife and his 5 daughters are praying and asking God to send money and then the phone rings as they are all still praying from a pet owner who was "prompted" by God to call to let John Daniel know that s/he is going to come and drop off the pet. Yes, it is indeed living by "faith" because nobody knows which pet owner will get their pets on the list to be taken care of "the famous D5 girls." After all, isn't it a great honor for these animals (dog/cat/horse) that the world famous D5 girls (who give their music shows to thousands and thousands) are now being their care takers? What privileged pets !!! We are pretty sure John Daniel's house is a big zoo as his daughters have to take care of lot of pets to pay for their own education, the family's living expenses in addition to all the international travel their "preacher" dad undertakes to save the "perishing souls."
Based on the above profiles of the retreat preachers, can we ask how exactly are these people qualified to preach to these young children who are at a very crucial age? Surprisingly about 70-80% of those young people stood up to say that they came for the first time. What does it say? People who came in the past are disillusioned and have dumped LEF and the poor evangelists had to work hard to gather up the new crowd. Is it true that most of these evangelists had to do some "adjustment" to their account books to pay for tickets to bring these children to meet their "quota" demands?
What was more perplexing than anything was the convoluted preaching of these insane people. Is there nothing except "adultery" and "fornication" that people in LEF can preach about? Does this deranged man want all these students to quit their education and come and take care of the goats and sheep in Beulah Garden or come and clean the bathrooms in LEF? What exactly do these fools mean when they say - "don't run after degrees?" Why not teach to this young children to be self sufficient and not become a financial burden to their aging parents who are working hard to feed them and educate them? Why not teach to these young children that they need to excel in whatever they do so that they can raise their heads high and walk? Why don't we want our children to be in key positions and do good to society and to the world around? Why don't we want our children to be the best they can be? Why is it that from time immemorial Joshua Daniel ensured that LEF people remained poor and this John Daniel is now blabbering the same kind of nonsense his deranged dad blabbered? There is a deep-seated conspiracy in LEF dogma to keep people poor and there by make them vulnerable. An observation about 'Johannes' mentioned above:
ReplyDeleteThis ex-patriate German man in his fifties who runs the very small centre in London is decent and hardworking. However he has been under the evil 'spell' of LEF, and specifically Joshua Daniel, since his youth. Although fellow-German LEF-ers from his own area in Germany wrote plainly to Joshua Daniel quite a few years ago telling JD that he would not be welcome at their retreats (let alone that the Americans and Canadians also ejected the Daniels from amongst them) Johannes remains blind to the fact that there is something very wrong with his hero (Joshua Daniel), with most of the Daniel family, and with LEF generally. Hence Johannes is valuable to the Daniels, and is seen more and more on the platform in many countries.
It seems that part of the reason for such ill-advised loyalty in the face of so much evidence, past and present, about the Daniels's, and hence LEF's, corruption, could be that Joshua Daniel had different 'rules' for westerners. Johannes's adult daughters, who are lovely girls, to the credit of their parents were not (unlike John Daniel's daughters) paraded before the LEF masses by means of indifferent musical performances (shades of Auntie Betty!), and have not been forcibly betrothed to LEF men. Their parents fostered and encouraged them to obtain the best degrees and post-graduate qualifications they could, without undue pressurising. They chose their own career paths, and achieved excellent results, with degrees from an esteemed English university. In short, they have (quite rightly) not been subjected to the kind of oppression experienced by Indian LEF youngsters that the Whistleblowers write about above. They dress and act like normal young Christian westerners, despite having grown up under the shadow of their father's unhealthy 'Joshua worship'.
Johannes owns a modest family home. Do not the LEF 'rules' preclude Indian workers from owning property? Another long-term LEF family formally connected with the London centre also owns a home. A similarly long-term core family which left LEF, but whose marriage Joshua Daniel also brokered, also owned their home.
Johannes receives a half-time salary for his (considerable) LEF labours, even though he is a 'trustee' of the LEF non-profit (!) British trust. He also works half-time in the printing trade. Surely Indian workers are expected to 'sacrifice all to God' and 'learn faith ', receiving little or no support from LEF? The husbands of both other German core families in London worked full-time. Meanwhile their equivalents in India struggle because they have been brainwashed into 'not going after money', and LEF does not help with even their basic needs.
This is not written to deprecate Johannes, whose only faults are those created by his naive enslavement to the Daniels and LEF. It is written to confirm that Joshua Daniel was calculatedly inconsistent in his treatment of those he enslaved. He shrewdly groomed what he realised was a gullible young western man in such a way that the now middle-aged husband and father is still, even after JD's death, irrationally devoted to his Indian guru. Thus Johannes is immensely valuable to the Daniels, especially now that they are under scrutiny; which is undoubtedly why, as Whistleblowers have indicated, he is appearing more and more on LEF platforms internationally. One loyal, upright, but chronically deceived Johannes is worth more to them long-term than 100 ultimately dispensable goondas like IC. Perhaps Andreas from Ireland may also be in the running for the Branch vacancy, especially as his children (some grown-up) have now been persuaded into 'cute' but relatively talentless public singing at the May retreat.
Meanwhile, how do Indian workers (the honest ones, that is) feel about being 'third class citizens' by comparison with these more privileged foreigners, with little hope of preaching to their fellow Indians at their own May retreats?
Johannes is a good man,a loyal man but he refuses to see and hear what others say about JD. Johannes will not read anything other than Christ is Victor, and listen to no tape apart from JD messages. Like true blood German soldiers who were ordered by Hitler not to retreat by thundering "Where the German soldier puts his boots he will not retreat" Johannes wont retreat, but I hope and pray that the total rout of Hitlers armies may not befall him. Johannes must understand that he is precious in the sight of Jesus, Jesus loves him, Understands him. He is not a bonded servant (gebundene Diener in German) to the Daniels. But cunning old JD might even have made Johannes pledge him by oath, that he will serve him and his family for ever. I only hope that Johannes children will read this blog and hopefully the scales will fall down from Johannes eyes.

How convenient for Lily and John to be able to blame a dead man who cannot be taken to task. Do they really think that people will believe that they were innocents in this, given the close circumstances they all lived in, and the fact that most of the Daniels appointed each other as 'trustees' of the various LEF income amounts and assets at various times?
Aren't 'trustees' supposed to supervise and monitor things such as accounts and tax liability? Maybe they had one of their extra-biblical 'revelations' from God, instructing them that they were too 'spiritual' to be subject to the same laws as everybody else.......

DeleteWhy blame the late JD for the state of accounts in LEF. JJD, lD, LLD can tell the IT sleuths that they give account to God only. (like their grand father / father). They can add more stories that they are so poor but will buy only 10-20 million US$ properties, will be unemployed in the US for 4-5 years but still have money to fly with 10 member troupe (earning money by looking after cats, dogs etc), I hope they will open an Indian franchise to look after Indian cats and dogs (will help in solving Indian unemployment problems). They reluctantly shared your obscenities on this site, in order to demonstrate the kind of warped mentality that LEF influence can produce (as if the marital and extra-marital behaviour of the two Daniel daughters, or of their associates such as Immanuel Chakravarthy, were not enough evidence).
Why did you feel the need to write obscenities? You certainly didn't learn this from Jesus.

By the way, why would Jesus need your money? Is it for him to start building a mansion for you in heaven? Dear Anil, i dont blame you. Once I too was stupid like you. Used to fight with people saying only hell is reserved for them if they talk bad about LEF. Thought only through LEF we can have a Gidly family. Missed a lot of great oppurtunities in life by getting into the family that outwardly looks loyal to LEF but with big selfish plans. There is nothing evil of this world is missed by this family. Only through this family I understood gossip is greatly promoted in LEF. I am still in shock how can this be possible while bible clearly says gossip is demonic. One more shock even abuse is allowed for LEF to get what they want. With money you can cover up any wickedness. I am in awe after believing that there is no heaven except through LEF. Still watching even the Godly who lad down their life for LEF are suffering and lost everything through these family. There no evil i didnt see while bible says fear of the Lord is to stay away evil. This people pray loud in fasting prayers but at home every sentence is filthy, lie or gossip. You are not helping Jesus but promote this kind of religeon. Dont be deceived lije i got deceived. ReplyDeleteI wonder why you want LEF people to view this video. Although some have miraculous testimonies, most Christians don’t. True Christianity is believing in Jesus daily and is not based on a dramatic testimony. LEF likes to put people with dramatic testimonies on their stages. This is a big disservice IMHO as the majority who don’t have a dramatic change or some nice feeling will think that something was wrong in their conversion or that they are inferior to the person on the stage. ReplyDeleteIts not the drama. Even after 18 years he still feels unworthy. The tears tells that. Even seeing Jesus didn't puff him up. Made him more humble. Its Jesus the name above all . Its not me. Go and get your own testimony he says. That includes as simple as just repenting and accepting his forgiveness and accept that we are just nothing like the way he feels. Thats what i understood from his testimony the once terrorist who trusted his righteousness.
ReplyDeleteI agree wholeheartedly with Suniemi. Encouraging people to recount dramatic 'testimonies' in public, and to crave after hearing them all the time, does a great disservice to the Gospel. LEF is already far to preoccupied with crocodile tears, drama, displaying and encouraging false humility, and the many other manipulative devices designed by the Daniels to draw attention to their 'ministry' (and ultimately extract money from their listeners).
ReplyDeleteAnonymous Jan. 25 @ 2.01pm probably means well, but he/she is simply imitating Daniel strategy by claiming that 'being a true Christian' involves dramatic sin and much sobbing and the dreary public repetition and rehearsing of one's 'unworthiness'.
I have heard in the past the same tedious 'testimonies' time and time again at LEF retreats, the same instances of how Joshua Daniel 'miraculously raised' dead people, healed the sick, cast out so-called 'demons' (the older, more accurate translations of the Bible never use the word 'demon', which is a modern concept in its current usage amongst certain Christian groups), subdued bandits, received personal messages from God about other people's lives etc. etc. People who he claimed he had been instrumental in 'healing', and who had been brainwashed into the hysterical frame of mind which inclined them to believe that he was, were paraded in front of gullible listeners time after time.
All nonsense. Cravers after such drama have no place in sober Christian churches which seek only to follow Jesus, and for their members to do His will in their daily lives. Drama addicts, instead of reading the badly-written, self-glorifying, unacceptable to normal Christian publishers, paperback outpourings of Joshua Daniel, should try reading, for example, some of the Puritan writers and, if they must have their ears tickled with drama, especially Bunyan's 'Pilgrim's Progress' (Bunyan's personal testimony in his book 'Grace Abounding to the Chief of Sinners' is also to be recommended). They should note how the Pilgrim ('Christian') is a very ordinary man, an 'upright citizen' of the City of Destruction, whose understanding of his personal sin emerges little by little. Most of the major dramas only occur after his conversion, and they are allegorical in form. Nobody is 'healed' or 'raised from the dead'. Nobody drones on and on about 'being humble'. No spectacular criminals appear. This most significant of Christian authors seeks, in 'Pilgrim's Progress', to use picture language to explain to ordinary believers the kinds of setbacks and encouragements they will experience as they walk the narrow path of salvation in Christ.
LEF people, it will take a long time for you to free yourselves from the poisonous LEF mindset, even after you have physically freed yourselves from the Daniels's chains.
Please understand and believe what Suniemi has written. He writes from experience and in accordance with true, Biblical wisdom.
I think the real message of the video is lost becauseof the fake spirituality of LEF. That mans tears are tears of joy from the love for Jesus like thevtears of a bride when she marries the one she loves. There is love, joy and strength in the brokenness of that man. I know LEF misses that. But we can not deny God loces the broken hearted which made David closest to his heart. I just want LEF to cime out of faking and have the real thing and have the joy,hope and love fove for people which comes from the genuine Love for the LORD which we see in that man. Pretty much i mean the same thing what you mean and I agree with you both.
