People who are at May retreat this year will not be disappointed. We guarantee you that there will be enough entertainment for both young and old like. The stage is set for an action-filled drama in Beulah Gardens. The all powerful lady head, LD and her 42 year old unmarried daughter Jr. LD who could not find a suitable husband in spite of trying out a couple of live-in relationships arrived in Chennai a couple of days ago. As soon as they landed, they took stock of all the pending police cases. Looks like the rogue lady head called in some police inspectors to debrief her on all the police cases pending against LEF people. Then a couple of threatening calls were made (from supposedly some police claiming to call from Tamil Nadu Cyber crime branch) to scare people off. Then the lady head gave a green signal for the circus show to start. While the people coming to the retreat are harassed by the evangelists to come to fasting prayers for almost a month to get ready for the retreat, the rogue team in HQ gets ready by hiring goons and bribing policemen to come and cover for them. Yes, the people at May retreat have double protection!!! God as well as goons and policemen as a team are guarding the "CIRCUS SHOW." We guess LEF rogues are the rare Christians who have a back up to God. Just in case the God fails to protect them, they have a back up from goons and the corrupt police men to keep the guard so that the show goes on without interruption.
The entertainment at the circus comes because the "banned daughter of JD" might end up being at May retreat. Who banned her? The late JD. Here is the copy of the letter that was sent to all the LEF centers signed by late JD.

So, if somebody cannot come to the circus show, it means that person is not seeking "God's kingdom" and is running after "worldly things?" What kind of 'missionaries' encourage people to be serial 'marriers', yet constantly to boast of their 'spirituality' as you do? Did your parents, your brother John and your sister Lydia 'hang out' with these same 'missionaries'? Does that explain their dubious, nay disgraceful behaviour?
I am old enough to be your mother, and I have 'hung out with' missionaries, real missionaries. They were properly commissioned by properly governed churches, and they never, ever boasted about their activities or their many years of real personal sacrifice in God's service. Quiet, genuinely humble men and women that few will have heard of, yet through whom many came to know the love and forgiveness of the Lord. They were true examples of humility and God-centredness, living simply like the folk they witnessed to, never taking money from them, never bullying them by misusing the Word of God, never 'lording it over them', as your family and their henchmen do.
I really do not know what is worse, your mother's and brother John's failure to answer the charges levelled against them (other than childishly to liken them to the 'barking of dogs'), or your own sickeningly hypocritical attempts to 'run with hare and hunt with the hounds'; on the one hand once openly condemning your mother, brother John, and sister on Facebook, but then writing a lot of nauseating praise of your father (who was the root cause of their misdeeds), and currently encouraging people to attend the meetings and 'retreats', which are the manifestation of all that is wrong and evil in the LEF.
Many were genuinely sad for your family's personal loss, no matter what, but people of integrity have now run out of sympathy. That just leaves you with the sycophants who encourage you, on Facebook or elsewhere, to think of yourselves as spiritually special, but no amount of flattery from them can make you truly righteous.

ReplyDeleteFirst things first, there must be a written complaint from LEF to the Police so that they can file a FIR and a case, without which they cant investigate.But the problem is that LEF being an Indian organization cannot have a foreign citizen as the President or whatever, but the Daniel family will not accept this, so LD who has one leg in the Coffin and another on the tombstone will act like agony aunt, Let her great son JJD meet the police and talk, (He can't talk Tamil or Telugu and the police men won't talk English, it will be a nice joke to listen to their conversation), Who authorised this old women, let she take rest look after grandchildren, dogs and grow roses. If any person masquerades as a Cyber Cell Policeman, Immediately complain to the Tamil Nadu DGP of Police , with the phone numbers. No Police officer will come free to meet LD, definitely Rs.5,00,000 would have been paid as a bribe to each, What a way to spend unearned money, and shocking that christian preachers stoop so low. Nathan Digeux i became a Christian in a fundamentalist group which some might label a cult, Laymen’s Evangelical Fellowship, headquartered in India, with several satellite offices including one in South Bend, Indiana. I won’t say the group is a cult; but they are so strict they stifle the Holy Spirit, and control the church so much that it is impossible to truly exercise faith. After nine years in the group, my friends (some of whom had served in the ministry as volunteers for 25 years) decided to challenge the leader, Mr. Joshua Daniel, on certain issues they had with him over doctrine and his need to control everything (including, i guess, whom you could marry — it had to be someone who believed the LEF doctrines etc.); his response was to tell them they were either with him or against him, and they had 48 hours to repent. Anyway, i left the group, along with the ‘ringleaders’ my close friends and until today, i still see how great the damage done has been (my best friend married in the LEF and i advised him against such a choice — marrying a woman based on the INSTRUCTION of Mr Daniel, a serious mistake) and twenty years later, he is still suffering from their divorce two years after the marriage (with a child). Churches are like people; they need to be nurtured by the Holy Spirit. They must never be allowed to become man-centred, or a place where Jesus actually is not welcome, because the leaders are IN FACT wolves in sheep’s clothing. I pray your church doesn’t self-destruct; but with the awful example of pedophilia present in the leadership, it looks like God may allow this as an example to other churches …which is Scriptural. Still, my prayer is that the sincere and humble among you, if you are led by God, might still be able to recover and, one day, both personally or even possibly as small united home groups (the true original form of the Christian church, anyway) realise the callings God has for you all, and continue to love Him and seek His glory, which is Christ in you. Don’t give up but you need to push the wicked, the chronically unbelieving and unrepentant; and the liars and wolves, firmly out the door. If they refuse to repent, do as the Bible says, and wipe them off your feet like dirt. Do you honestly think Jesus will accept their hatred of Him for ever?

Thank you for your contribution, Nathan Digeux. Are you from North America/Canada? I think it would in fact be best if the LEF did self-destruct, but it seems to be harder in India to separate oneself from cultish groups, and for ladies in particular. It would be so good if the people could meet for worship and teaching independently (as you suggest) apart from the negative trappings and connotations of LEF and Joshua Daniel and his family, but I suspect that a lot of the people one can see attending the present 'retreat' in Chennai still do not know about the bad behaviour and false teachings that characterise this 'ministry'. I wonder how many of those ladies have access to the internet. Also, we know that some of the husbands bully their wives into submission to the LEF culture and leadership.

Didnt they give her acceptance and now blame it on her. They accept every wicked person and wicked act for gain and chase away who obey God because they can not get their illegal, unethical plans get fulfilled for their prosperity. Instead of bribing the politicians it is important to answer the body of Christ. Ministry means serving and repentance means change of heart and accepting when the commandments of Christ is not followed personnally and other human being. We don not see in people who call themselves guiding others to chris in LEF. What do they guide. What is the retreat for. Just make no sense. ReplyDeleteThe Daniel family plays the longest Soap opera in the world, Suddenly they will say IC had written this letter, without JD knowing about it, and the signature was forged (if you ask, then how many signatures were forged, were any on cheques forged there will be no answer). Such a letter will be written, but the whole family will visit and spend LEF money lavishly on thje wedding and suddenly will say, IC only took us to the wedding saying it was for a baptismal service, when we went there he closed the doors, so against our wishes we were there, and so on, so while the masses get the entertainment, the leaders family will share the spoils and it continues. ReplyDeleteIt is very sad to see hundreds of sincere (or perhaps gullible) people gather together at BG to hear JJD, his dad's cousin do the announcements and his cousin brother lead old choruses and listen to a couple of no-name non Indian speakers. It is a shame that in its 80 years of existence with their pride and joy Bible college, it could not produce a single Indian preacher who could preach at their annual meetings. I did a Google search on the foreign preachers and cant find them anywhere. They are probably happy to be preaching to thousands of what they perceive as hungry Indians. But alas they are so fixated at this their experience of preaching to 1000s of Indians, which they will relate in their messages back in the US to their 100+ congregants. I watched a couple of JJD sermons just to give benefit of doubt to see if God's anointing or his father's mantle has fallen on him. Except of the monkey faces he makes, the roguish belittling comments he spits out, there is neither any substance or style. His made up American accent gives it away that he is neither an American nor an Indian. Wake up LEFers!! I cant imagine how mindless Daniel followers can be - to spend their hard earned money on train rides, their vacation to sweat in the Chennai humidity when the VVIPs sit and sleep in AC rooms and preach from AC platforms while thousands are fanning with their hymn books to bear the heat, and then to be scolded. I do not know how a preacher who cannot even gather 12 people in US in 25 years has earned the right to scold thousands at their annual retreats.

DeleteIf you drop a live frog in hot water it will jump out, but if you slowly heat the water you can have frog soup. This is exactly what happened and is happening in the LEF. The congregations in all places were never fed Gods word from the Holy Bible, but a sickening mash of old foggy stories exalting the grand founder his son (JD), grandson (JJD), great granddaughters etc., (which is another Indian ideas, that of an Exalted family line / dynasty, where birth takes precedence over work like the Nehru’s, Abdullah’s etc ) so the congregation now has no taste for wholesome Christian nourishing preaching and even gets bored by such preaching. Due to this conditioning the people sit and endure the great talk of the grand son (JJD) and fool themselves that the so called anointing the grandfather got transferred to the son and the grand son (simply said, spirituality is transmitted by sex! (It the tantric idea in India). This same idea is carried forward and every unemployed and unemployable son of an evangelist dreams of a day when he will also be exalted. The use of non-Indian preachers serves 5 benefits to the Daniel family. 1. No competitor who is better will emerge from the Indian preachers, 2. There will be no one to compare JJD with, 3. Indians always are scarred and trust the pale faces. 4. The pale faces have no roots and so will never be a threat to the entrenched Daniel Family. The movements of the White preachers will be carefully coordinated so that he won’t come in contact with the natives. 5. Indians are any way considered as the cash cow and are never respected by the Daniel tribe. There is no shame that the unregistered, unaccredited, unregulated Bible School/ College / University (which has no syllabus / exams/ grades / degrees/teacher s/ deans / dorms / library/time table even) in 80 years of its existence could not produce a single Indian preacher who could preach at the annual meetings, it is all part of the design. The main purpose of the unregulated Bible School/ College / University is to produce Daniel dasas (disciples) who wash the cars of the Daniels, dust the Daniels houses, mow the lawns, take care of the mango trees, cows and animals (all unpaid, claimed to be part of training) apart from carrying tales and collecting and giving them the offerings. In this the Bible School has achieved its purposes perfectly. Don’t tell state secrets like “neither any substance nor style in preaching of JJD”. Everybody knows it, in fact no one expects anything so are not disappointed. The Indians native religion exalted pilgrimages and the suffering of difficulties in doing pilgrimages. Similarly the mindless Daniel followers spend their hard earned money on train rides, their vacation to sweat in the Chennai humidity when the VVIPs sit and sleep in AC rooms and preach from AC platforms while thousands are fanning with their hymn books to bear the heat, and then to be scolded happily fooling them that all this is required to please God and so will not dare question or stop coming. Anonymous 12.28am: I can understand why you wrote what you did, and you are not wrong in thinking it. However there is evidence that more and more people are realising the truth about LEF and the Daniels. People will always be attracted to cults like LEF, and hirelings like the Daniels, and those who write here cannot stop them being deceived if they want to live with that deception. A lot of the problems with disenchantment in LEF is that it has been covert. People have largely kept their concerns to themselves out of fear - spiritual bullying which tells them or implies that God will make bad things happen to them if they dare to question or contradict the Daniels, and sometimes actual physical bullying which we have read about here. One of the techniques employed in this kind of oppression is to make people feel isolated and alone in their concerns. Through this site many have been able to express their anger and concern openly, without being personally threatened or spiritually intimidated. They have been able to read contributions from many others who have experienced similar things and feel the same way, not only in India, but in Europe and America. They can see that the way they feel is not because they themselves are wrong, misguided, or deficient in some way, but because LEF and the Daniels are the wrongdoers. That surely has to help them, if nothing else to regain the self-respect that LEF takes away from its adherents? It may be too late for many of the older generation to escape the clutches of LEF, but I think the younger generation is benefitting from this site, and many will think twice before allowing LEF to have the vice-like grip on their lives that it has had on those of their parents and maybe grandparents.

You are right, however, to imply that there has to be action as well as complaint in order for abused people to be helped. ReplyDelete1. Mr Pigeon Head Daniel (PHD) keeps referring to the water well in St. Georges Home (the guy does not even know it is a school and not a home) in almost every message, irrespective of the context. He has no other recent examples to share.
2. As usual PHD’s talk makes no sense. There is absolutely no connection in the Bible verse he quotes and the blabbering that follows. It is evident from the faces of the translators. They cannot believe they are forced to interpret such poor “messages” and unbiblical stuff.
3. Conference Fasting Prayer over the phone on Saturdays in the US – LD and PHD were fuming and frowning that fellowship people in the US do not join this phone prayer, supposedly conducted by a couple “enslaved to LD/PHD. They promptly report on who joined and who did not. Only 3-4 people join this “highly acclaimed” PHONY prayer “out of fear” of being reported.
4. You may find it interesting, no one from the Daniel clan every join the PHONY prayer. Not even ones.
5. PHD is trying very hard to imitate his late Father….. will take him another 3-5 years of practice.
6. He should buy himself a teleprompter, so he can have his talk in advance and read it off the screen. That way, at least he will speak complete correct sentences.
7. Telugu/Tamil translators seem pretty happy and relieved. They can now say whatever they want and PHD and the imported preacher have no clue, whatsoever.
8. As expected, most of the campers are from the villages/towns from Andhra and those who have pledged their legion to LEF. I have to admit, the numbers are impressive. Daniel and Co. must be ecstatic.
9. The long time Choir has been replaced by D5 and the Irish kids (Irish of course sing well).
10. People at BG have been talking of all the wrong doings, the decline of LEFI, complete take over by LD/PHD, disrespect to senior evangelists and work and are mentioning this blog as well.
The so-called 'Irish Choir' are not in fact from an Irish family, but are the children of Andreas and Beatriz Heinzel. This couple come from Germany and Switzerland and I believe their marriage was arranged by Joshua Daniel some time ago. They were sent to the Irish Republic (Cavan) supposedly to start an LEF work there. Andreas trained to be a dentist in order to support the work. He gave a 'testimony' at BG a day or two ago. His wife has acted as his receptionist on and off over the years. When I knew them they were having quite a hard time. The children were being homeschooled, and generally I think the family was quite lonely. I am not aware of any regular meetings involving people outside their family being established in Cavan. As with many attempts by Joshua Daniel to imitate and extend the Indian work outside of India, LEF never took off in Ireland (thankfully - Ireland does not need any more problems). I seem to remember that the wife, at least, found it very difficult, and I think that it was felt that Joshua Daniel's organisation could have been more practically helpful to them. However unlike other Americans/Canadians/Germans, it seems that they have quenched their misgivings about LEF, and are remaining loyal to it, in contrast to another German couple, whose marriage was arranged by Joshua Daniel, and who were sent to England, but after some years and two children realised that his ministry was unbiblical; having been threatened by Joshua and Lily Daniel that 'bad things would happen to them' because they were asking awkward questions and thinking of leaving, they did in fact leave LEF, and are now settled elsewhere and much happier and healthier. John Daniel's children were also homeschooled, and this seems to have set a precedent for the children of some of the European couples whose marriages were arranged by Joshua Daniel. The Heinzel girls are older than the way that they are dressed makes them appear. They used to sing at UK retreats, but one felt it was always under pressure (from Joshua Daniel), and that they did not really enjoy being made to stand at the front and do it. As far as I know they did not go to Indian retreats when they actually were children, so I am not sure why they have appeared in Chennai now. It certainly cannot be because of their singing abilities! It is interesting that Andreas said little or nothing about the 'work' in Ireland when he gave his 'testimony'; this was probably because there isn't one to speak of.

ReplyDeleteSt George's School was founded in 1715 as the Military (later Madras) Male Orphan Asylum and is one of the oldest schools in the world and the oldest in India, The LEF retreats were always announced as being held in St.George's School, and enough notices to that effect was given in Christ is Victor. (before 1985 ~) Never it was called as St George's Home, it is funny how much effort you have put to justify PHD's blabber, FYI, now only 22 children are staying as boarders, So I suggest that in future it may be called as St George's Asylum.

One young man was happy in the LEF, he was asked to go to a foreign country with his wife). The Superior in that country wrote, please do not come here as this country is worse than a 3rd world country, the LEF sent him there without paying for transport or relocation expenses (how can God's money be used for such expenses, only for the exalted family it is possible), Now he is not happy but it is too late.
One young man was a brilliant engineer in an MNC, just to impress some, he was asked to proceed to a foreign country. The LEF sent him there without paying for transport or relocation expenses, He got a job much below his mental facilities, How happy he is, is open to discussion.
Another brilliant young man was asked to resign his exceptional job (he had an idea that God had called him to full time service, this call was confirmed by JD) and come to BG for training in the Bible College, He survived for one week, He was sent back (hopefully fully trained). He had learnt his lessons well, but it was too late, I heard that, now he is working in another secular job.
(I have full contact details of the above persons but have chosen not to reveal them for obvious reasons)
How did such things happen, these boys were slowly lead to do these things with hidden agendas by the first family, if they had known the true face of LEF they would not have fallen into the pit with their eyes open. I feel such writing is like putting a banner, “Drive Carefully, Dangerous Curves Ahead”. OK, I have seen a boy crash into a pole, having a similar warning, but once written if a person doesn’t accept, it is his decision, and his blood be on him. The LEF hides things, as a camouflaged deadly viper, It is time to call a snake a snake. Even I didn’t know the true face and the true colour of LEF (which is pitch black), my friends warned me, I ignored them, now I myself am shocked at the levels of cover-up. In India it is a common practice to keep stones in the midst of sewage ditches, as in many places sewage easily overflows on the road, such stones help a person cross without getting too much dirty. Even though writing a blog costs time, and effort and opens up old wounds, I hope that at least one young person will read these blogs and take a good informed decision, of what is cheese and what is chalk
Even though in most of the LEF centers there were no permanent incharges to insist to come to circus show.. I see this time most of the people who has never shown interest before going to this Circus, this time they rushed to show posting pics in FB.. Maybe they are Eager to see what will happen there this time at circus and discussing on highlights..also they will have good opportunity to spend summer time with their family at two fold price tuck shop and bill less book stall rather than spending spiritual..

DeleteSome of those translators are killing the translation! Sometimes they are saying entirely the opposite of what the preacher is telling in English! These translators feel a sigh of relief now for not being corrected. JD used to correct every syllable these translators used to say.

ReplyDeleteIt was announced at the funeral, in Nov last year, that it would be released soon! Is it out yet?
I was involved with putting together the first two volumes. The idea of having a third volume goes back to at least the late 1980s. Why should there be such a long delay? A few reasons come to mind:
Delete- I'm guessing JD realized he had nothing exceptional to say. Whatever may be said about "revival" from decades ago, those days are long gone. Big crowds in Stuartpuram, etc. are NOT the same as revival. Moreover, there is nothing substantive to show for outside of India. There is no location with more than a small handful of people. What can be said about westerners who have left the LEF (all the Canadians, almost all the Germans)?
- Nobody ever wrote LEF material except JD (not counting some decades-old stuff written by his mother). This is a combination of wanting complete control (surprise!), not trusting others to write, or not knowing about others' writing abilities. You notice how nothing new has been written for many years? Also, who is going to write new stuff? Who knows what the next anniversary report (assuming it comes out) will look like.
Dear LEF faithful follower and retreat attender, I am sure that you will be confident of having pre-booked a place in heaven because you attended the May Retreat, nice, but please ask these questions and answer them to the satisfaction of your own conscience.

How much is spent by the LEF on meeting their needs each year? Why the secrecy, let the LEF publish the names of the leaders in the website and in the official magazine Christ is Victor.
2. Who is the present Head and who is the treasurer. The Indian rules prohibit any foreign citizen to be the executive head of an Indian trust. After IC was sent out who was appointed as the treasurer. For this appointment Government permission is required and how was IC appointed without permission?
3. Why no accounts or balance sheets were never submitted for nearly 12 years against all rules, Do you accept that story given out that the accounts were submitted but were not updated by the Government agencies.
4. Haven’t some VIP evangelists have built houses and palaces for themselves, clearly spending over their legal income, if so from where did the excess money came? Some more smart have even rented the houses and pocket the rent. When the houses were built by LEF money should not they be registered in LEF name, how they are allowed to become private property, if this is not stealing then what is it called.
5. Can grown up , married children who refuse to attend the LEF meetings or ministries, be allowed to stay rent free in houses built with LEF money and maintained from offerings. Can such children be allowed to use the facilities provided to the evangelist by the LEF out of sacrificial money for ministry purposes?
6. How can the LEF deny to pay a single rupee as compensation for work done , or medical aid or pension or PF to faithful evangelists asking them to exercise faith and at the same time spend lavishly on the founders family, Does this mean that the founders family does not have faith?
7. Why the LEF refuses to submit its annual statement of accounts along with its annual report, which every other Christian organization does. Are the other Christian organizations not spiritual?
8. Is the LEF a personal treasury of the Daniel Family or are they both different?
9. What is the qualifications of Ms. Lydia Daniel to become a Board member, except that her needs will be met by the LEF offerings, Are there no other qualified people in the LEF.
10. What is the official designations for Gunalan, Daniel Mani, John Raja, etc, when they have no official designations who authorized them to handle LEF sacrificial money?
11. Why you are still scarred of IC? Why do you refuse to give a police complaint against him, you do know how much he has stolen.
12. What is meant by the word ministry? Does it mean give me all the money to spend as I please?
Some of the americans are used to hunt rich single ladies in the name of ministry in turn they get favors and think the phone fasting prayers and retreats will buy ticket to heaven for cheating these ladies. Can they deny this.

ReplyDeleteDon't miss the internship reference. For a moment I thought his dear girl parted the red sea….. my organization hires 100s of summer interns and the terms are very flexible. They are “interns” and not fully time employees. Agreeing to start at a later date is no big deal, happens all the time. I had 5-6 requests this year, they wanted to take a short break and join after a week. I agreed, without even giving it a thought! While I am a strong beliver in praying and asking God's intervention in even small(er) issues, this was a streach by any standard.
PHD should come up with something better!
Perhaps JJD is praising his children, not only for the obvious reasons of making himself look like a great father, etc, but also as a response to this blog since his siblings have been called out as such shallow people. I remember many years ago when talking to JJD and how I made a quip that his brothers did not have the "real stuff". He calmly suggested that his brothers were "good guys" (implying that they were equipped to be a blessing in the fellowship). None of the North American people bought this; those two brothers were always viewed as being forced along by their parents and not rising to the preached LEF standards. No one is surprised that they are uninvolved with the LEF. Of course this did not stop the parents from still putting them on the platform.

ReplyDeleteInterestingly, JD also used to praise (boast about) his five children for years/decades. one has been married three times, one unmarried at 43, one married with two boys, who seldom attends LEF meeting where his PHD brother preaches, one is 4000 miles away from his parents and we do not know if or what church he attends. And of course JJD was born with the silver spoon in his mouth so neither can speak like an American nor like an Indian but either boosts of his D5 or scolds his mindless followers at a retreat but cannot build a church in his own backyard. So all this boasting of his father came to nothing.

True God will take care of his own.. but when people bring out what they know it is not for entertainment but to show how the powers of darkness has taken over the charge and misleading many using them not even being noticed. So we need to raise our concern when Gods children are cheated and used.

To suggest in any way, and at this late stage, that so much evidence given by so many people, some of whom have identified themselves, may be untrue is not helpful to those who have suffered, or are still suffering.
DeleteWhilst I have not suffered personally from the misdeeds of the Daniels and others, because I realised that their LEF 'ministry' is fundamentally unbiblical and was free to turn my back on their antics, I have personally been made aware of, even observed, others who have suffered a lot, and for whom it has not been so easy to walk away from the Daniels's corrupt 'kingdom'.

They preach about righousness but steal government money electricty tax ect.
And many more illegal activities like forging signatures, threatening people, bribing , phone tapping, robbing, duping others , adultry, and what not..
All the above are mentioned things are discussed in detail.
