the permission of Mr. Scott McCormick who has recently written to John Daniel
to warn him on what destruction is awaiting LEF

Attention : Chairman of LEFI Chennai.
Mr John Daniel.
I write this email with serious concerns about the latest
allegations concerning both the actions of yourself and those of the late
Joshua Daniel and others employed and commissioned under your leadership of
LEFI, Chennai.
It saddens me greatly to hear of allegations of sexual abuse,
stealing of land titles, bullying and manipulation of satellite church pastors,
all bearing LEFI banner.
Given that I was a guest at LEFI back in 2009, that is before your
appointment to chairman and CEO of LEFI, I have become aware since that time of
very worrying allegations made against LEF concerning both moral and a
financial lack of integrity.
I read via the internet that Pastor John Branch had allegedly
compromised his moral standing as a long term guest speaker of LEF for many
years. This has
saddened me to hear. I very much love and respect John Branch and
what a shame to lose such a faithful man from Christs ministry.
During my 4 weeks with LEF during a retreat in 2009, I had the
privilege to interact with some 60 bible students. I received various email
contacts etc ...
It has come to my attention from an
inside LEF source, that Government Electricity was stolen by LEF over a12 month
period. This occurred under the leadership of the late Mr. Joshua
Daniel.
I was told that 2 bible College
students were stationed near the fence by
Mr. Joshua Daniel so as to carefully observe, should
government electrical commission employees came to check the lines. The Bible
College Manager, (Will not disclose at this time.) was on a routine walk around
LEF he observed two of his students standing near the fence. When he questioned
them as to why, they were not in class. The 2 boys advised him as to Mr. Joshua
Daniel’s instructions as to avoiding class and to watch the wires.
Further the boys were instructed by
Joshua Daniel, to remove the linking wires should electrical inspectors come
along, this they were informed to do, and not to go to class. The bible College
Manager subsequently resigned... Huuuuum !
In any event this news concerning
your ministry has now spread around the world. Should these allegations be
true, I write to state to you, what a huge transgression they are toward
Christ.
There are many theologians who
believe that the day of separation occurs only after the resurrection,
Yes! The separation of the Just and the Unjust occurs at Judgement
Seat.
But Christ is also separating them today on earth. When Christ
separates, He shakes.
Mr John Daniel: I give you this warning & prophecy today.
Should any of the above allegations be true and they are not made
right, both for personnel individuals and Government Agencies and if you John Daniel seek to cover and
conceal them;

I am sorry but such letters of good intention wont help John (who is thick skinned and a numb skull), There are three methods used to steal from the LEF. 1. The Daniel family members have been given specific centers where they use / misuse all the offerings with out any supervision or record. No LEF member can ask any question. 2. There is a nice room built for accounts in Beulah gardens, Nice girls and boys man them and maintain perfect accounts, The center leaders are so happy to give perfect accounts, The question is what happens after this, the money is directly taken to the pockets of the Daniel family. 3. All evangelists regularly receive gifts which they never give to the Central treasury, Each one spends as he desires.

He will not answer. I hear a proverb from one of their rogues WASHINGTONS You can wake some one up if they are really sleeping but not the one acting like sleeping. Another proverb by the same rogues sing or dance ( probaby gossip or violent from what i saw for decades) get done what you started. No wonder such rogues are brought in to use Gods work and his name to fulill their desires instead of serve the needy and poor showing Gods love. They beed to undersatnd living like this only curse not a blessing. Acting like everything is alright just to coverup the filth in LEF is not Gods work. There are much more poor righteous people who will be first in Gods kingdom and you rogues will be begging for a drop water from those whom you looted and tortured. Proverbs 28:6 better the poor whose walk is blameless than the rich whose ways are perverse.
DeleteJohn doesnt preach in different revival meetings .He is not talented as his father in the art of BullSh**ing .He comes with printed messages and blabbers in the retreats (May and Students Retreat) and then does some time pass at Stuartpuram ,Vijayawada and Hyderabad practicing his blabbering skills.

ReplyDeleteRodney Bills has been aiding and abetting LEF for many years, principally acting as 'Master of Ceremonies' for the May retreat. Even other LEF-addicted westerners know him and refer to him as 'Joshua Daniel's pet'.
It would surely be impossible for people such as Rodney Bills, so closely involved in LEF, not to become aware over time of the corruption orchestrated by Joshua Daniel, his henchmen, and some of his family members. The witness here of Scott McCormick, whose connection with LEF must have been much less strong, demonstrates that. The same is true of Arthur Hills, the older man who has been let loose on unsuspecting retreat attenders in more recent years as some kind of major preacher, but whose true character was revealed by a fellow Australian on the WB site some months ago. I was myself at one time an attending westerner at LEF worship, contributing financially to what I thought was the local ministry; but despite my legitimate questions about money and leadership I could never obtain normally routine information about the 'secret workings' of LEF. Even without visiting India I suspected and finally realised that there was something intrinsically wrong about LEF and the Daniel family.
The Daniels have always relied on the support and approval of various westerners to validate their organisation and activiities. Over the years many westerners, including minor British preachers such as Norman Duncan and Colin Peckham, have been duped by Joshua Daniel into preaching for LEF retreats. Such largely unknown western speakers are still being recruited, whilst Indian speakers are side-lined. Thankfully the original Canadian, American, and German LEF groups eventually acknowledged that Joshua Daniel was a sham, another Asian guru profiting and gaining kudos from naive people under the guise of 'christian' preaching, and either turned their backs on his meetings, or ejected him from amongst themselves. A handful of westerner 'recruits' in Europe still make themselves available to the Daniels, so we should not underestimate the ability of this hireling Joshua Daniel to fool vulnerable people into following him, allowing themselves to be influenced by his false teaching, and eventually enslaving themselves to his ungodly purposes.
Think, therefore, how much easier it was for a snake-tongued Indian like Joshua Daniel to enslave his Indian fellow-countrymen, even from his comfortable home in the USA, having obtained western wives for his sons with the clear purpose of engaging even further western support and validation for what he considered his burgeoning international empire.
Thank you, therefore, to Scott McCormick, Terry Huffman, Gary Fleenor, and all the westerners who have contributed their negative and telling experiences of Daniel/LEF corruption to the WB and Suniemi websites. It is a lot easier for westerners to walk away from LEF than it is for Indians, but the deliberately perverted teaching of LEF, that it is somehow 'sinful' and 'dangerous' to expose corruption in (self-appointed) 'christian' leaders, is often still an insidious influence in their thinking. Many still stay silent because of it.
Rodney Bills clearly values his position as a big fish in a small pond too much to be honest about LEF, leave it, and thereby help to come to the rescue of the poor Indians he has been lording it over at May retreats for many years.
BTW, I've wondered about Arthur Hill(s). Wd. you know approx. where to look for the info you refered to? Thanks.

DeleteThere is little or no info. on the internet about Arthur Hills (which speaks for itself about his preaching ability, I think). I believe he also lives in Perth,, Australia, and there was something about some other Indian group which uses him for something.
However my comment was based on a post, I think here (but could have been on the Suniemi website) by another Australian man whom Arthur Hills took to a May retreat. This man found him a conceited and thoroughly unpleasant person (I seem to recall), saying that Arthur Hills's presence spoilt his trip to India - or something similar. I don't know if WB will remember under which blog heading this appeared. It was some months ago.

If people join it they can get a 10 % reduction on any of its products they buy, and other questionable benefits. These 'benefits' are advertised via video.....apparently people's lives 'have been changed' through acquiring them.
There is very little other information about Mr. Hill's company, or about its origins and functions, or about Mr. Hill himself. Arthur Hill goes under the title of 'Dr. Arthur Hill' on his company's website. No clue as to who awarded him this 'doctorate', or for what academic effort. Maybe he purchased it from the same back street vendor of academic certificates in Chennai from whom Joshua Daniel purchased his! Perhaps they purchased them together and got a 'two for one ' discount.....
All sounds a bit familiar, doesn't it? Money-making disguised as a christian ministry - boasting of a dubious, probably fake, doctorate in no fathomable or revealed subject - loves the sound of his own voice - sells his own products to the gullible - 'preaches' largely to gatherings of not very theologically discerning Indians.
As the old adage says, 'Birds of a feather flock together'!
Rodney Bills is even more of a nonentity. One is thankful that at least he doesn't try to preach at retreats, although he has been known to do so in small gatherings. What he does do is sing loudly into a microphone. So does John Daniel, in his family-owned (LEF purchased) church in Novi, Michigan. Neither Bills nor Daniel seem to realise how excruciating this is for congregations. If they insist on displaying their lack of musical ability, please can someone sabotage their sound systems? I cannot, surely, be the only one who has had favourite hymns ruined forever in the memory by the efforts of Rodney Bills and John Daniel (and that is only through listening out of morbid curiosity on the internet - what must it be like to sit directly below these people in the flesh?). I won't even get started on the elderly Indian gentlemen who are occasionally allowed to sing into the same microphones before the 'main show' begins; but at least they are deafening their own compatriots in their own homeland, which I suppose they are entitled to do!

DeleteJohn Branch 's adultery is a known fact. Somebody who has connections with his former church ( from which he was removed) exposed him to WB. Also his poor wife posted about the resulting end of their marriage on facebook. The Daniels planned to lie about why he did not come to the next retreat, telling people that he couldn 't get a visa, but somebody told WB what they were planning and their plan was exposed before they had a chance to lie to people in India. I do not know what, if anything, they told people at the May retreat in the end. John Branch did eventually marry the woman with whom he was having an affair. It is believed that he was involved in extramarital activity whilst a pastor and, more relevant to LEF, whilst he was preaching at youth camps and May retreats. It was also reported here that there was some question of John Branch behaving improperly towards a woman (a Daniel?) at a retreat. Lily Daniel blamed John Branch's wife for his behaviour, after the wife went to Lily Daniel for help.
People who are concerned about evil behaviour in LEF do send letters to WB with information, which is often how WB gets to know about what is happening. Information is verified before it is blogged.

DeleteYour intention is unclear. It really does not matter whether John Branch married again or not. Nobody is interested in pictures of John Branch, with or without another wife. Nobody is interested in whomever he may have lived with outside of marriage. Nobody is interested in who applied for John Branch's divorce. It is sufficient to know that he was an adulterer when, courtesy of the Daniels, he was bellowing about morality issues to unaware Indian LEF congregations, and especially to impressionable Indian youngsters.
If you can demonstrate that this is not the case, then you should do so for the sake of those who you think have been misled by WB's information, and for John Branch himself. However it is known that he and the Daniels read this blog. Why do you think that they have not issued a denial before now, or even sued for libel? The facts about John Branch's behaviour have been rehearsed here on several occasions over recent months. His former church has not denied them. He has not denied them. The Daniels have not denied them, but wanted to conceal them.
Such silence speaks very loudly. It is the same silence that greets news of every LEF scandal, such as Joshua Daniel's orders to Bible School students to steal electricity and watch out so that the thieving was not discovered by electricity officials. That is old news too - Scott McCormick has simply confirmed it and elaborated on the details (for which we are grateful).

Ask yourself people. I was part of the LEFI in Europe for half of my life and there are many things absolutely true that you say. Yes, there are manipulative people at work. But as far as I am concerned at least two of the Daniel family helped me to open my eyes regarding the LEFI. I left like many others in Europe did. It was the best decision of my life. And what a freedom came into my life!!!!

Yes, Jesus would certainly have rebuked John Branch, just as he rebuked all hypocrites who set themselves up as preachers of the God's Word to others, but inside were 'whited sepulchres'; tombs disguised with whitewash but inwardly full of rotting flesh.
Are you suggesting that John Branch and King David are in the same category? I think not. David, like John Branch, did seek to conceal his adultery, and largely succeeded until the prophet, divinely inspired, rebuked him. Neither did he escape unscathed. David was nevertheless a great king, a man of God who bitterly repented. John Branch is a little man devoid of any true preaching gift, who allowed himself to be flattered by an evil family into being a big fish in the small pond of LEF, and did not in the end succeed in hiding anything. As a hypocrite he will reap what he has sewn. All that shouting and posturing from platforms will avail him nothing without openly expressed repentance. In no circumstance is adultery 'fine'!
I think you have misunderstood the significance of the tale of the woman caught in adultery. She was not a preacher, and her sin had already been exposed to everyone. She could no longer hide it. However Jesus showed that he could forgive her, even though she was a proven adulteress, when he said 'Go and sin no more'. He had the power and the right to condemn her, but chose to forgive her - providing she turned her back on sin. He was also reminding the onlookers of their own sin which had not yet been exposed; that in his hands, not theirs, lay the matter of the final condemnation of anybody (of which the stoning to death was a type).
The issue of John Branch is different. This man claimed to be a Christian teacher, and harangued others about their unworthy lives - whilst at the same time having a sexual relationship with the church secretary outside of marriage. He has apparently shown no signs of repentance, but relied on the devious Daniel family to conceal his blatant sin from the naive Indians to whom he dramatically and theatrically preached about moral issues for ten years.
The only point of comparison is that John Branch's eternal destiny is in God's hands, not ours. However if he is not man enough to confess and repent, given his very public persona, then it is quite legitimate for others to expose him and point out the enormity of his actions. LEF people, especially the young, are particularly vulnerable and impressionable. If they see him getting away with it unscathed, what is to stop some of them thinking they can do likewise? We know that many so-called LEF leaders are also whited sepulchres. Do they feel free to behave like this because they have seen others getting away with sinful behaviour, protected by the Daniel practice of sweeping everything under the carpet and (deviously) threatening anyone who seeks to right such wrongs with God's wrath if they dare to question the actions or words of those the Daniels and their henchmen wrongly refer to as 'the Lord's anointed'?
Perhaps humour is not the best response - adulterous preachers are not funny! However John Branch has forfeited any right to respect or consideration, just like his promoters, Joshua, John, and Lily Daniel.

DeleteWe are not interested over dismiss John Branch's escapades as an issue outside LEF.If we choose to ignore John Branch's issue we have Betty who married brian ,divorced ,then married a person who is at least 13 years her junior (Friend of betty's sister lydia) and after the divorce married her present husband.Betty was forgiven by JD and she found her way back into the LEF stage performances " singing and playing piano".A great preacher or leader of JD's Caliber must have sensed things amiss in John Branch's family life at least 3 years before the divorce.John Branch was a regular in LEF Retreats for almost 10 years and he was the only American who was given repeated pulpit honours after the Mills (Russ & Betty).Lily and John cannot push issues concerning morality under the carpet and act as though all is well in LEF.
If LEF Whistleblower had not published the John Branch Expose the guy would have come to the LEF Retreats and thundered from the pulpit and some of our fasting & Prayer faithfuls would have loudly prayed in a fasting and prayer asking God to send his angels to protect the great man of God John Branch Garu's family.
You cannot have 2 sets of rules .If Daniels seek Heaven after their days are over they must restitute ,make a public confession of all their sins ,dissolve LEF and live a quiet life.

Isn't that why people commented on the fact that the banned eldest child took advantage of her father's death to play a prominent part in his funeral, knowing that probably no-one would forbid her from coming on such an occasion? She has certainly not been seen on LEF platforms since, and in fact has been setting herself up in opposition to her brother, coming over to S. India and making dubious TV programmes, travelling around as some kind of peripatetic female 'revivalist', all the time collecting money from naive Indians. Her latest begging effort is a GoFundme.com plea for money to supply her American congregation with lifestyle 'counsellors'. Surely her sister Lydia, who has been 'liking' motivational speakers on FB for years, could 'counsel' them for free?
If JD sensed that something was amiss with John Branch, it was not because he was 'a great preacher and leader', but because he was a cunning fraud. Cunning frauds tend to sense each other's misdeeds before anyone else does. But then I expect you were using Indian irony!
LEF comprises two categories of people. Cunning frauds bent on self-aggrandisement, and naive dupes who support such people's ambitions. Everyone else who has ever had the misfortune to become involved in LEF leaves as soon as they realise this fact.
Not compramises, but train such people to get their plams successful. That is what fasting prayers and retreats are for

What kind of so-called 'Christian Fellowship' or 'church' confines ownership and control of its assets (acquired from money and goods extracted, often by psychological blackmail, from captive congregations) to one family? Then passes them on to the least significant family member (Lydia Daniel) when it looks as if such ownership is in danger of being investigated? These are the practices of big business moguls, also of dangerous cults.
How many other LEF assets does this insignificant, and allegedly ungodly, woman Lydia now legally own - in addition to the holiday resort property in India bought with LEF money? How many more assets bought with LEF tithes and offerings are going to be passed into her ownership?
Who is Lydia Daniel but an ex-call centre employee who wastes her time listening to 'motivational speakers' claiming to teach people how to make money and achieve business success (see her Facebook page)? A middle-aged woman who has been unable to attract a husband, and reputedly has a chequered past in terms of relationships?
Have LEF supporters been actively supporting Lydia Daniel and her lifestyle for many years without really realising it? Does this woman ever now work to support herself? Is Lydia's elderly mother Lily Daniel, errant wife of the demonstrable hireling Joshua Daniel, now trying to secure her idle daughter's financial future after her death, as well as gradually passing on LEF assets to a family member who she thinks is now less legally vulnerable than her reprobate son John, in order to protect the LEF business which supports him?
Lydia Daniel could not help being born into a fundamentally disfunctional, dishonest family, but not all of her siblings are profiting from LEF (though Betty would clearly like to, given her efforts to re-establish herself as a person of significance in her late father's LEF business enterprise). It is possible to turn your back on corruption, Lydia, and lead an honest life, even if you are a child of a crooked cult leader.
Passing on ownership of an LEF publication to Lydia Daniel, even if it is a useless, self-congratulatory item of no spiritual value, is the thin edge of a much larger financially and spiritually scandalous wedge.
LEF supporters are once again urged to face up to reality, abandon this money-making cult, and look for God where he may truly be found.
Lydia Daniel did talk following her father's death. She told us that Joshua Daniel 'was part of the solution', whatever she thought that meant. Straight out of the mouth of one of the 'motivational speakers' she admires.

What are the educational qualifications of Lydiamaam. If she and mom Lily are the owners then why the LEF runs the book publishing from its premises using slave labor. Of course slaves like John Raja and Muthuchand will do all the work happily deluding themselves that they are doing Gods work. If Lilymaam, you think that this arrangement will guarantee your daughter a 5 star lifestyle after you are gone, you are mistaken, after your time she will be kicked out (as happened to Dr.Whitson Paul), Lydia will have to join as children minder in the Salem School, Lilymaam please ask and teach your children to earn their bread and keep by honest means before it is too late.

ReplyDeleteLEF is simply doing Jesus Business .They are selling their version of Jesus Christ to the people who attend their Centers claiming it to be the path to heaven.Actually I would rate the Daniels on par with the Cult Leaders and Godmen of India who have a large group of followers.If you see the way LEF Operates you can see a lot of similarity with other non christian Godmen organizations like Mata Amritananandamayi ,Sadguru Jaggi Vasudev,Sathya Sai Baba,Sri Sri Ravishankar and Baba Ramdev.
ReplyDeleteThe "Christian Gurus" was the book that was posted on the other site that did a very good comparative study of Joshua Daniel with other religious gurus and babas. Even as a child I wondered why Joshua Daniel always had to talk about babas, gurus and swamis even though there was no chance of even a single person in the congregation to have any kind of interaction with these religious gurus.It almost seemed like he had an obsession with these gurus and saw these men as some kind of competition to him.
DeleteJust out of my personal interest I have done some study on this. The travel of the Music group Beatles to India to visit the ashram of a prominent Indian guru in Rishikesh in the late 60s
set a stage for many such gurus moving to west and setting up their own establishments in USA and this was also the time Joshua Daniel got zealous to join the race of taking Christianity from East to West. So, it doesn't surprise me that he had the similar modus operandi. It would be amiss if I don't point out here that Joshua Daniel was a huge failure in establishing anything that is comparable to what some of these Hindu gurus have established. A lot of westerners are ardent followers of some of these people mentioned here but more than 90% of westerners who came in contact with Joshua Daniel turned their backs on him and his dubious ministry. Most of these gurus have huge establishments in many foreign countries and Joshua Daniel was no match for any of these men who he seemed to compete against. Most of these gurus have under taken a lot of social initiatives in India to help the poor. Not withstanding all the scandals that revolved around Sathya Sai Baba, many poor people got (continue to get) free medical care from the hospitals instituted by Sathya Sai Baba. LEF's contribution to any kind of social cause to help the poor has been dismal. All we can say is that Joshua Daniel was just a cheap baba who only left behind a family which is sitting with begging bowls to collect even the small change that poor people of LEF give. The whole idea of his "retreat center" called Beulah Garden was an attempt of Joshua Daniel to build some "christian version" of ashrams that these gurus have. Even here Joshua Daniel cut a sorry figure as Joshua Daniel stooped as low as to make his people steal electricity to build and maintain this place. So, in some sense it would be an insult to compare Joshua Daniel to these gurus.
Even before the meatings people used to talk what he is going to say about Dr. Dhinakaran, i dont think Dr. Dhinakaran cared anything about JD. But JD warned people talking about them
DeleteGood post lef wb. JD cd.n't pull off the guru thing in the U.S. or in Canada. Too different of a culture and most here wd.n't take it for long. I was shocked when in India I observed how he treated and spoke to Indians, and after my second visit I had serious misgivings about him, and this was not long before the blowup in Canada - which was the final straw. BTW here is an interesting book by an american former devotee of Sai Baba about various Indian gurus: Riders of the Cosmic Circuit by Tal Brooke.

ReplyDeleteI spent over 27 years in the LEF as a Slave of the local evangelist and as an Errand Boy of the Daniels.I suffered abuse and humiliation meted out by the evangelist in my place.I lived my life not knowing what would happen the next week,the next month or year because my parents were die hard fans or followers of Joshua Daniel.I tried my best to reason it out with them but failed.I got a job and moved to a place where there was another abusive evangelist .I became a slave of him and his wife.I remember fetching water for his family from a Roadside pump and doing all petty jobs in my free time.All that we aspired those days was an audience with the Daniels .Well when i was 27 years old on one of the May Retreats JD reprimanded me because he misunderstood me .On that day i made up my mind that it would be the last time i would see him and never ever saw him again.I shut the door against LEF for Good.JD tried to reach out to me later with marriage proposals but i told my parents that i would rather remain unmarried than marry a LEF person who is deep rooted in the LEF Cult Ideology.
ReplyDeleteThe evangelist who was at my place checking out what people wore ,Forcing his will as God's will eventually left LEF.One of his children plundered and looted LEF of several million rupees and ditched LEF.
LEF to me is Hell.You can call it a place of Abuse.It is a place where wicked fellows practice sadism against the faithful followers of Christ.
I have not been to hell but i have experienced LEF.
I have not seen the devil but know how he works because i have seen JD and his henchmen (LEF Evangelists).
I have not experienced Evil Spirits in my life but i know that evil spirits reside in LEF and all LEF people are blinded by the power of evil spirits completely that their life is a danielised version of Christianity.
Finally Brothers and Sisters in LEF please look only unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith.Run away from LEF before the Lord destroys the organization.When Fire and Brimstone rain on LEF do not perish there.The day of Judgement is near.God is not dead.Jesus is alive and he will judge the wicked people who misused authority and destroyed thousands of lives.

I hope your story encourages others to help those still enslaved to LEF by telling how they got out, and why.
It is good to know of younger people who leave, despite continuing LEF family ties. It would be good to know of seniors who also realised the truth about LEF and left (as I did). I know of one young man whose parents also finally followed him out of LeF. He is now joyfully and properly serving the Lord in India (along with them, and an ex-LEF wife) having received excellent pastoral training at a proper seminary established by a sound and well-known preacher elsewhere.
Fulfilment in life does not end for long-term LEF-ers when they leave. Rather, it really begins!

DeleteFrom your description it seems that you are from Ponneri and was illtreated by a former evangelist.Yes his son made big money by promising Acoustic treatment +sound proofing the big hall in Beulah Gardens .That ex evangelist was a goonda in true sense as his wife was a wicked lady.We call her Bloody Moon (Translate moon into hindi or tamil).Their son was a moron who was trusted by JD.The whole family ditched LEF after looting the church .
I too have something to add on the mean goonda family from poneri .They acted as if they were royals ,members of the JD Family and illtreated people.Those who fell in love were reprimanded and excommunicated from LEF Fasting and prayers.They went on unchecked by JD.They drove away the grey headed man;s brother in law (their predecessor) out of poneri and took control of the school and the church.Their son became the school manager the defacto head of poneri lef.They encouraged their children to fall in love and got them married to their lovers (hand picked and apple polished from LEF ) but held the marriage outside LEF.It was about this time JD got a hint of their irregularities and planned to do an audit.While they feared reprimand by JD the son ,daughter and some other people met with an accident in US and the grey headed man and his wife deserted Poneri after wiping out all the money in the school account .JD Wrote in the LEF anniversary annual report about them and their mismanagement .

JD imagined that he was a born Architect, and designed the great halls as an layman. He was fixated with the idea that people must hear him even without sound amplification systems, In walked JJD and gave the contract of fitting foam pads (which are used to prevent echos) to the son of this evangelist, who nicely subcontracted to another company and forgot to pay. The company came and printed posters and made a show in the LEF HQ. So sadly, the Dad of this boy knew about this but refused to correct his son. (or maybe was not allowed by the wife and mum). There were also Computer deals for the schools etc.. Not fair dealing.
ReplyDeleteJJD and this evangelist's son (petty crook) share the same first name .I know the fellow and his parents well.They were extremely cunning people.A family who believed that they were born to rule and trampled people who were better qualified and those who were godly.We hope they realize their mistakes and take corrective actions.Our God is not silent and he is watching over everything.

Let us also not forget that Betty not long ago used this same Facebook site to broadcast her view that her mother, Lily, is a 'Jezebel'. There is no evidence that Lily has changed her ways, so we can only deduce that Betty has decided to overlook her mother's ungodly manipulations in favour of family unity; or perhaps Betty thinks that the direct influence of her own (Betty's) self-promoted spiritual superiority (??!!) will lead her mother to repentence for the damage she has caused to families, and the restitution of all that has been immorally taken.
Whatever the truth about this matter, Betty's and Lily's personal relationship is really no business of ours (a case of the blind leading the blind, perhaps - we await with very mild interest their arrival at the ditch!). What are more concerning are the sycophantic posts which greeted this FB photo:

Would this gentleman like to explain the value of her advice to those (unhappy with their increasing discovery of unbiblical LEF teaching and practice, and requesting from her explanations) who have expressed doubts about hers and her husband's organisation and leadership, that 'if you leave LEF bad things will happen to you. You will become ill and your children will rebel and go astray'? Betty, of course, has nothing useful to add to the above posts. She is still far too obsessed with the imaginary 'Hindus waving RSS flags posing as christians on whistleblower site' who have been invading her South Bend, USA home. Apparently these have been attacking Lily. Seemingly they have now travelled over to Lily's home in Salem township. Surely her son John, apparently a highly esteemed township committee member, could arrange for his tame policeman friend to do something about these vandals who threaten his mother?
We wish Betty and Lily joy in reconciliation. There is nothing wrong in caring for your mother/child, whatever their past failings. However bearing in mind Betty's clearly and publicly expressed to regain her place on LEF retreat platforms, Lily's undoubted physical decline, and brother John's acknowledged ineptness in both preaching and leading, we must wonder whether there are other, less admirable, motives at work behind this touching portrayal of filial devotion........
