Here is an account of an ex-evangelist
of LEF who also happened to be the ex- bible college student of LEF. Sam Ezhil wrote this write up to be published in the blog. Joshua Daniel asked Sam Ezhil to leave LEF after Sam selflessly served LEF for 18 years. Sam's crime was he presented some unpleasant facts to Joshua Daniel. It has always been the wont of LEF leadership to snub and malign people who bring out the dark secrets of LEF operations to light.

This is what happened at the last evangelists' meeting convened by
Joshua Daniel before his death. Joshua Daniel squarely scolded a senior pastor
of LEF for exhorting the people to go to God. (I think Joshua Daniel wanted the
people come to him not Him). This is the characteristic of a cult. Many years
ago in one of the LEF prayer meetings my wife prayed "Lord we can always
come to you". That is it. The senior pastor's wife called my wife and told
her if she wants to go to God directly what for they are there. I was aghast
and told my wife plainly that there is only one mediator between God and man
that is Jesus Christ Himself. So for every deviation from the word I had to
fight. Praise God my wife was understanding and was always on my side. They
threatened her saying some terrible thing would surely happen to me. I took oil
and anointed my wife every night rebuking the fearful spirit with which LEF
folks try to manipulate the congregation members. One day Joshua Daniel asked
me as what I had given for God's work and I was taken aback with his direct question.
Of course I told him plainly I have given my life for God's work. (I was a full
time youth worker of the LEF then). I had 6 years of training at HQs (without a
degree). One day I confronted Whitson uncle for the lack of proper course
module and a degree for us and he was evasive and I understood I would not get
a proper reply. Finally I was asked by Joshua Daniel to leave the LEF after 18
years of my service. Somebody asked me whether I had given my resignation
letter for which I replied when did they give me an appointment order?
Sam Ezhil is not a Joker, but is one of the finest balanced Christian young men any one can hope to meet. He has not told 1% of what he/ his wife and family endured for Jesus sake in the North Eastern States of India where he worked. I know how some of the trainees were asked to stay in the open fields (not in a room, in the, Himalayan cold) burning the straw for warmth, just thought will the fat cats ever do so, while they flew Sam traveled in dirty train coaches, in 24 to more hours on bus/van/jeep journeys, WITHOUT ANY PAY/SUPPORT. He was threatened by local toughs on gun point (if it had really happened to the anointed family members they would have left running). But Sam can be happy, a total stranger remarked to me. I heard a nice Christian message, so wonderful Bible teacher, who has understood the bible, it was Sam. I smiled.

John Daniel was told that somebody threatened to confront him when he comes to Imphal. This coward already told people that he will not be coming to Imphal in June. John Daniel's dear wife is complaining to every Tom, Dick and Harry that her husband is gone too long. Now that the big Don is not there to loot and plunder and bring the spoils home to feed his lazy kids and their families, the Don in the making has to come out of the hole to earn his own food and his wife is already throwing a fit...Waiting to see how the rogue mom is going deal with the domestic dispute brewing in her blue eyed son's home front...
ReplyDeleteBrothers, Please try to make some sense in leveling these serious allegations against a man who was mightily used by God. Didn't God used his servant Joshua Daniel to bring out great revival by delivering many from the bondage of sin? to work great healings? to pull out many from demon possession ? to deliver many from repairable family troubles? to reconcile many separated couples ? He held in very high reverence as a Man of God by many people just because their eyes witnessed the above facts. A rationally thinking person will agree that some sinful acts have taken place in LEF. But how far it is justifiable to allege a single family for the acts of some Iscariots who dug behind bro.Joe? After all the members of Daniel family are also mere mortals who acknowledged it and preached their accountability to God and man. If the family is so wicked according to you then why have you waited till the death of God's servant? Were you waiting for a proper time? Indeed the actions of Daniel family in some regards have offended some. But why not go and ask them strait? will not this way of using social media propagation unnecessarily bring great defamation to a family if they are not guilty of all your accusations? Will not God judge slandering? Why don't you try to be rational in considering the real facts regarding the testimony of Daniel family?

Can you give us one public statement that Joshua Daniel made that he was cheated by acts of some Iscariots who dug behind him? Also, what right did Joshua Daniel have to unanimously appoint the Iscariots as heads of finance and leave them as heads for over 15 years? It is a no brainer my dear truthserach that Joshua Daniel and his family are accomplices to a lot of crimes that happened and are still happening in LEF. If Daniel family feels like it is not beneficiary of the corruption in LEF, please ask them to step down from their self proclaimed thrones and allow LEF to be run by elected ( not appointed) board of trustees...I doubt if you are searching for the truth or trying to snub the truth....

What proofs you have to say that Daniel's family members are accomplices of the corruption that is taking place. It is true that Bro.Joe did not make any statement regarding any Iscariot. But we read in the gospel that our LORD also have entrusted the money bag to Iscariot and had not made any statement regarding him(regarding money) even after he'd been betrayed. You are just trying to nullify the solid testimony of Daniel's family which they labored for decades to build up, and it is not an easy thing to build up a sound testimony, but it is very very easy to destroy it overnight. Only fools do that. Moreover you are simply setting aside the fact that God used Bro.Joe in a mighty manner that many thousands were spiritually blessed through his ministry. Entire LEF knows that through how many hardships he and his wife went through in the work of our LORD. But all of sudden you are attaching them to the devil. Evidently they gave away their lives to the service of our LORD and it is believed that they have been so till the end. You are not able to prove when did they turn to the devil from our LORD and Savior Jesus. Joshua Daniel was a revivalist and can you show in the history that any of his kind had turned away from the LORD to devil in the final course of their lives? Devil is not so strong enough to pluck them out of the hands of Jesus. If the Daniel's family is really the culprit, then please come to the annual retreat or any meeting like stuartpuram, vijayawada or Hyderabad and challenge them openly with real proofs so that they may defend or refute the charges before the public to whom they are preaching. Wasn't our LORD publicly assaulted by the Pharisees and Sadducees, but patiently defended his testimony and his teaching? But choosing the way of social media only scatters the dust. If some people have grievances against the leaders of LEF they should have minimum guts to express them in open platforms like public meetings. Do you think that God would not touch the criminals? Did he leave them who worked against our LORD? You know that Social media has very wicked effects on the human society to spread evil? What will happen to you if you come out with open accusations in public? Nobody can touch you if the truth is on your side.

Looks like you are writing this at the command of Lily Daniel or some other big dog in LEF. In due time, the law of the land will decide the fate LEF leaders. Please wait till you see the dishonorable stories of LEF leadership and Daniel family are published in the local newspapers. What can be more public than that? Also, please keep all your christian preachings within the four walls of your church to defend Daniel family. Your esoteric Bible allegories will not hold water when all the LEF and Daniel family corrupt activities come before the judges in the court of law.

You know corruption by its own nature does not take place with proper receipts etc By the seen actions everyone gets doubts, and if the family is clean, it is their responsibility to come with the facts. Do you accept that on family should control a public trust for nearly 80 years, against all rules. Now 1 million UK pounds are shown in London LEF accounts (accounts not given by the family, but by UK Charity Commission, Definitely I am puzzled by the amount, source and the fact that it was spent, How, As the Great man preached, only a robber will not have an account, can I draw a similar conclusion. Dont compare Jesus with this family, He was holy. Why should the LEF always refuse to publish its accounts, while every large christian organization does, When they say that accounts are readily submitted to the Government, what prevents them from submitting to the church, by your same logic let the family members before they preach in the great public meetings refute these allegations. thy cant for they know these are true, You cant fool all the people all the time

There are two things the whistle-blower can talk about.
ReplyDelete1. Allegations of mismanagement. OK you can talk generally because the allegations are not so serious. But still you should follow the bible and try to get your facts straight and try to get the message to the wrongdoers first.
2. Allegations of illegal acts. If you want to complain about criminal acts like rape, beating, physical threats, corruption, you can complain anywhere, even to police. But please be very, very specific and you should make 100% sure that you have reliable evidence. Some of the allegations are so vague that even the police will ignore them. If that is all the evidence you have, stop spreading rumours.

Truth should truth, we are amused at the name gave yourself. You not only chose to be blind but advocate others to be blind. Are you giving us some friendly advice on what we can and cannot talk about? Or are you trying dictate to us what we can and cannot talk about on this blog just like the big dogs in LEF do? In either case, your unsolicited point by point notes are unwelcome. Please go and do your point by point analysis some where else. We are sure a lot of ignorant LEF people will be all ears to your great scholarly analysis and you might get a promotion in LEF for putting your comment here.

You are just flinging allegations all over the place, and most of your so-called evidence is not as good as you claim. Even open secrets and everything you are not happy with, you want to call it "whistle-blowing".

You say these are open secrets and then you say we do not have evidence that is good enough...We wonder what makes you think that "open secrets" that were and are illegal and which may not have been reported to the government so far will continue to be dismissed as things that people like us are "not happy" about are not supposed to be termed as "whistle blowers." Do you suggest people should "gossip" about them and not talk about them in "public platforms" such as this?
DeleteOpen secrets like the bad food fed to the students and the lack of degrees and some of the mismanagement. These are open secrets that need little proof. You then try to lump them with your allegations of fraud and criminal behaviour, allegations which require a very high standard of proof.

Truth should be truth, when you come on public platforms like this to comment you need to know that you will hear some unpalatable stuff. We are still not clean on what your stance is and we don't care to know what it is. As rightly said by you, may be our "screaming" will get attention from NGOs,law and order personnel and government to take a peek at all irregularities in LEF and then nail each of these rogues one by one. It will be a matter of time before it happens. We have to patiently wait and see the drama unfold...

People like these bring down the collective intelligentsia of human race to alarmingly low levels. These people are not only deaf and blind but extremely unintelligent - cannot even make simple inferences based on the facts presented to them. ReplyDeleteMr.Sam Ezhil is a Hindu Convert.He and his family left idol worship and their relatives and joined LEF and got baptized.He got into the ministry out of his love for God.He is a very simple,innocent person so naïve that when he got married he did not know to give his wife the wedding cake they cut in their reception and stuffed it in his mouth .We had a hearty laugh over it.
There were other people like Bro.Willy & Mrs.Sugirtha Willy of Tambaram who sacrificially gave their time ,money and their talents to LEF and were subjected to shabby treatment by JD.Junior JD is a Rehoboam (1 Kings 12) .He deserves to be given the boot.
It appears that JD used God's name and anointing to control people...To them (LEF top leadership), their policy of " hire and fire" is normal...But that's the saddest part, because that power been used to throw away those who could have been mightily used of God today...people like late Jubilee raj, bro willy, Bro Sathy no sam Ezhil could be pillars forming a superstructure for God's glory....the problem with JD was that though he seemed to seek God"s glory..he was trying to build his own empire in the end..the proof is that his co-workers have been thrown out..who could have done much better than him..but just like systematic termination policy used under Hitler's regime...he carried out firing policy that destroyed the very work of God eventually...in the end it"s has truly been proven that it" a family business or an empire..where power is weilded wrongfully against those humble people who serve under this ministry...

DeleteThey forced girls who were medical graduates (doctors) to marry SSLC,PUC or guys(Bible College Students) with non professional qualifications .Thus these girls were made to work and earn for their families whereas the guys were evangelists. JOE and Lily's will were God's will and anyone disobeying were having their own self will.These people were posted in centers in difficult places.The couple who had no compatibility fought ,quarreled and had children.The Church grew and when offerings came in JD and LD wanted the offerings.Those who did not give all the offerings were called thieves and thrown out of LEF.
LD is an ordinary MBBS.JD is an MA .These people had a say in what LEF children were allowed to study.LD always discouraged women doctors doing their PG or getting into super specialization.JD felt insecure with well educated people.
I think we have to be careful about relying solely on the Old Testament for our theology about anything, including the Biblical meaning of 'anointing'. 'God's anointing' is claimed by so many connected with dubious fellowships to validate what they are doing. You don't find much mention of it in the New Testament, in the sense of God's Holy Spirit directly and independently selecting an individual for the ministry. The Biblical New Testament way of selecting leadership is for godly men to consider the spiritual qualifications of a man, and then by majority vote appoint him to pastoral leadership or eldership or the diaconate (or not!). We see this early in Acts, with the appointment of an apostle to replace Judas Iscariot, and the appointment of the first deacons, even before the establishment of functioning New Testament local churches. Thereafter the churches were to follow the guidance given in e.g. Paul's pastoral epistles (Timothy, Titus). Therefore in a biblical sense Joshua Daniel was never 'anointed' by God to leadership. The case of Saul is somewhat different, since he was a king, not a designated spiritual leader. Even in that case it was the people who demanded a king rather than God declaring that they should have one. However the main difference is that with the coming of Jesus, which initiated what we know as the 'church', firm criteria were given for the selection of spiritual leadership which made obsolete anything that had happened previously. It is nevertheless the case that those criteria were certainly reflected retrospectively in the choosing by God of Joshua and Elisha.
DeleteI have seen no evidence of Joshua Daniel preaching on 'the church' (ecclesia). I have seen that he despised what he referred to as 'committees'. He would certainly not have been very happy with the band of apostles! I doubt that he knew much about the Biblical doctrine of the church, but it would not have been to his personal advantage to preach the truth about it even if he had bothered to study this teaching.
There has therefore never been a case for regarding Joshua Daniel as 'anointed by God' for the task he chose to devote himself to (whatever he thought it was). Indeed, none of the great Christian preachers of history referred to themselves in such terms. I would apply the same to his father, which does not mean that God did not raise his father up to preach the Gospel to his countrymen initially. However as soon as his father failed to carry out God's Will in promoting the establishment of fully functioning, independent local church fellowships, then his ministry began to become redundant, whatever people may claim they saw and experienced in connection with it. I believe the rot set in even before Joshua Daniel and family brought it to the surface.
I would strongly advise against any sentimental attachment based on the circumstances in which we find the Lord. The Lord speaks through all sorts of people, and by all sorts of means (including a donkey and those who do not know Him!). It is His Word which brings light and truth, and it is to Him and His Word that we owe loyalty.
If we do not order our Christian fellowships in obedience to God's instructions, then sooner or later the work will decline and self-destruct.
May God Himself lead you to worship with those who truly honour Him, under the benevolent leadership of men who have been truly appointed by Him.

Good, they told you that you can use "riffle" (that you did not know how to spell correctly and spelt it as as riffel) and shoot people down. You sound so much like LEF goonda. YOU ARE THE MAN WHO HAS THE GUTS TO THREATEN TO SHOOT PEOPLE FOR EXPOSING THE CRIMES OF LEF ROGUES. Now we know why JD's youngest son lamented during his dad's funeral that LEF has turned into a GOONDA FELLOWSHIP. Already two victims of Joshua Daniel's arrogance from Imphal centre: Dr.Rajadhas and bro. Sam Ezhil. They were forced out of LEF but they remain even more blessed out of this cultic LEF. Can anyone explain under what circumstances Dr. Rajadhas left?
ReplyDeleteLef is a cult, any doctrine builted and running by a single man authority is a cult. According to in Eph.4;11, the Holy spirit has given some Apostles, some to be prophets and some to be pastors and some to be Evangelists. there must be a governance body in the LEF organization.
