What happens when a mentally deranged 80+ year senile woman takes over to become the editor of a magazine? Bear in mind that this woman never wrote anything scholarly the entire 80 years of her life so far and is suddenly enjoying her limelight as an author, public speaker and the head of an organization. Here is what the great LD wrote in the editorial of the May issue of LEF magazine, Christ is Victor which by many LEF people is regarded as more authentic than the Bible itself.
Her cruel and even more retarded late husband gave the same dictates to LEF evangelists and workers from LEF May retreat pulpits as early as 1995. That charlatan who outlived his own usefulness not only to LEF but also to the whole humanity in general lived 20 or more years longer than what was required to only ruin and destroy all the noble and humble work of Godly evangelists and workers such as Bro. Solomon, Dr. Jaysingh, Bro. Abel, Bro. Devasahayam, Mr. Whiston Paul, Mr. Stephen Jubileeraj, Bro. Dasan, Prof. Willie Dharmaraj, Bro. Moses Charles, Capt. Bhaskar, Bro. Sathy, Mr. Phillip of Ooty, Bro. Swamidas, Dr. Franklin Paul Athi, Bro. Yesuratnam of Stuartpuram, ...etc. Now this useless 80 year old woman who was hidden in the closets of LEF has emerged to destroy any and all of the good that ever existed in LEF.
If we did a simple math of adding all the ages of all the LEF evangelists and workers and divided that sum by the number of evangelists and workers in LEF, the average would be in the neighborhood of 60. So, most LEF evangelists by Indian standards have come to a retirement age. Even the so called corrupt governments which are run by ruthless and inhuman politicians formally let go off their workers from their jobs at 58 in most cases and at 60 in some cases. When they let go, the government sends them home with a huge retirement package (even a low level govt. employee comes home with at least 10 lakh (1,000,000) Indian Rupees, which is an equivalent of 20,000 USD. Apart from this, in most cases they get a monthly pension that will last till the end of lives of the government employee and his/her spouse. In addition to this,(at least in Andhra Pradesh) all these retired government employees and their spouses get yearly allowance of upto 2 lakh rupees each (1500 USD) to take care of any hospital bills and health related expenses. In the light of this, let us compare the care package offered by the Godly, spiritual (!!!) and one of the kind of LEF. Now the dead leader of LEF, the great JD and his senile wife who recently took over the reins have a great spiritual retirement plan for LEF evangelists and workers. What is that plan? Get the coffins ready and sit around those coffins and meditate day in and day out and make intercession to God saying - " Lord, fill this coffin soon." Even there we may see a show of spirituality as people might be getting into competition to fill the coffins in the first come, first serve basis. Here are some ideas LEF leadership can use to save some costs and even make some money off the evangelists even after their deaths from their coffins:

While the Masinagudi looter (oh sorry, princess) was sitting on the chair, the likes of Dr. Jayanth sitting on the floor speaks volumes about the slave mentality of LEF workers. Why should people like Dr. Jayanth who are superior both in education and experience to the cheap children of JD (if you remember from earlier posts, Jr LD was a model during her college days and call center employee according to her linked in profile) stoop themselves down so low as to sit at the feet of these crappy people? That shows the low self esteem (or may be extreme humility that LEF people want to call it) of some of these LEF evangelists and workers. Their obsession to be seen on LEF pulpits ( or zeal to do God's work as again LEF people want to believe) will make them to demean themselves to a level of even falling prostrate on the feet of Jr. LD and may be JJD's daughters in the near future. Quite pathetic... I wonder what the children of some great stalwarts will take home seeing their otherwise powerful and influential dads reduce themselves to dust to vow their camaraderie and loyalty not to God but to this Daniel family crass? I wonder if some of these people ever wonder about what life lessons they are teaching to their children...

I suppose they really believe all the bullying threats made that Divine judgement awaits them if they dare to abandon LEF and stop giving it and the Daniels any money or loyalty. It is amazing that even some normally astute, sensible people do not sever their links with this poisonous organisation; some seem to hover on the fringes of it, even though they know in their hearts how much evil pervades it - 'hedging their bets', as the saying goes.

A friend and I once invented a re-usable coffin, in the light of the unusually high cost of funerals where we lived. It involved a trap-door through which the body would be released at an appropriate time, to be buried or cremated out of sight of the mourners.
DeleteThe coffin could then be re-used. One could have a 'family coffin', a bit like a family wedding dress, which could be passed down through the generations....the temporary occupants' names could be engraved on the outside, providing a permanent souvenir (or in this case, 'memento mori'), rather like the suitcases people treasure on which labels for exotic destinations are still glued.
Lily Daniel is welcome to apply for a patent for this, since we never did. The re-usable coffins could be marketed at the LEF book fairs and retreats. John Daniel could store some of the finished products in his Angel of Death home a.k.a. Angle Road LEF Centre (5 acres, plenty of room).
Could re-usable coffins ever become tools for LEF evangelism, I wonder......?

Those who had no money left for such family memorials in perpetuity would still be able to rent the coffins from the Daniel Firm (payment to be sent direct to 7284 Angel of Death Road, Northville, Mi., USA ). Of course the personalisation of the coffins would be lost, but LEF Bible College 'students' could be employed in the undertaking of any refurbishment necessary between such temporary leases.

LEF is broke financially. Late JD and his clan were greedy as pigs and killed and cut open the stomachs of golden egg laying ducks in hopes of getting all the golden eggs in one shot. Poor Bro. Jubilee Raj was one such duck which consistently laid golden eggs for decades. Jubilee Raj's days 100% of all offerings were sent to HQ but now several people get a cut before some residual amount reaches HQ. Apparently the pigeon head JJD is coming with some new transfer policy like Lutherans, Baptists, CSI people- transferring evangelists every three year. This fool JJD doesn't seem to know the like the mainline churches LEF doesn't pay salaries and benefits to LEF evangelists to implement his lame policies.
DeleteWhy would all the offerings be sent to HQ anyway? The Biblical pattern is for offerings to be used for the local work, with any sums of money to be sent elsewhere being proposed and agreed by the local membership at a formal church meeting.
DeleteIf local members of the Body of Christ allow others to dictate their finances (and procedures!), then of course unscrupulous people are happy and able to profit from this and take their cut! Any Christian who gives money unquestioningly to people he/she has not personally elected for that task, having first considered that person's spiritual history and Biblical qualifications, is not only guilty of foolishness, but also of putting a brother in the way of temptation and hence stumbling him.

The annual report is so bland and stupid that it is unbelievable. It's better if they just go with the pics alone and get rid of the content. At least when Mr. JD used to write it, it used to have some vision. ReplyDeleteWe as Christians when we quit our sinful ways and follow christ are cut off and the branch (us) must be grafted into the Vine called Jesus Christ so that we bear fruit.As we know the Vine tree bears fruits that gets tastier over time.God the father is the Vinedresser,So if we abide in him and he lives in us we will bear fruits.(John 15:1-7)
Jesus calls himself a vine because it gives life to branches. Without the vine the branches can’t live. When the branches are alive and healthy they naturally produce fruit. Producing can’t happen without abiding in Jesus. All spiritual fruit are happening because of Jesus Christ. If we think we are the ones producing all the good deeds we do we cut ourselves off from the vine and die.
Apart from Jesus we can do nothing. That’s the cold truth. When we try to work on our own we start spreading legalism and emptiness. When we work with Jesus we share gentleness and kindness and all the good things that naturally attract people to God. I find it necessary to start my work with quieting prayer so that I would decrease and Jesus increase. That I would not be in the way of Jesus. That I would be a branch vibrantly alive and well in Jesus Christ.
Unfortunately LEF folks do not understand this truth.So let our prayer be lord Prune us ,discipline us and make us a branch bearing good fruit.Let the fruit that comes out of my life be a blessing to my community ,the church and my nation.

ReplyDeleteThere is evidence that many people have decided not to follow LEF at least in part because of reading this blog and the 'Understand the Truth' (Suniemi) blog.
DeleteHowever your point about people who are unable to read it, for whatever reason, is important. Some thoughts:
1. Ex LEF people in India could do their best to pass on verbally the known facts about the abuse that is going on. Maybe they could picket local LEF meetings in groups, handing out leaflets - people who cannot read them might well have a family member who can. Ironically this might be almost as physically dangerous as it is to Christians who seek to evangelise in Moslem venues!
This may seem quite a fruitless exercise now, but you never know what fruit it will bear in the future.
2. There will always be people who will continue to follow and support cultish groups and inappropriate leaders, for all sorts of reasons. That is one of the results of personal freedom! If Daniel family members were imprisoned for illegal activity, in some people's eyes that would simply make them martyrs! Even highly educated people get involved with deviant religious groups.....Satan does not differentiate by means of literacy or intellect!
3. In all these matters God is still sovereign. The duty of believers is to proclaim the truth, including the truth about evil men who would pervert the Gospel or undermine the church from within. The book of Ezekiel has much to say about this, but in chapter 33 vss. 1 - 10 Ezekiel emphasises the duty of believers to 'blow the trumpet' in warning; these 'watchmen' are not responsible for the outcome of their clear warnings, except if they fail to warn clearly, and then they are responsible for the fate of those they fail to warn.
In short, do whatever you can to warn people about LEF and its leadership, in every way that you can think of that is legal, and without being deterred by the spiritual blackmail LEF tries to exert, i.e. 'It is wrong to go against 'God's anointed' (in their view, the Daniels, but in reality The Lord Jesus alone), ''Judge not that ye be not judged' (a wrong interpretation of Matthew 6 v. 1) etc.
If only one person, in God's time, accepts your honest warning, then you will still have fulfilled your 'watchmen' duties. The outcome is the Lord's to decide, but it is right to continue grieving about souls still enslaved in cultish groups. That is Christian love, and it impels us to action.

Well what a time I had with this power hungry evangelist ... Arthur Hill is the most rude and abusive pastor minister, I have ever worked with in my 28 years as born again christian ... Some have been wondering about the Australian contingent of retreat participants (that is, those who are given a high profile and keep appearing on the platform, not visitors like you who are clearly not easily fooled).
DeleteThere is very little info. available about this man Arthur Hill, and nothing about the other one, Rodney Bills. I was once told by a disgruntled, non-Indian LEF stalwart that Mr. Bills was 'one of Joshua Daniel's pets', which seemed to be the case, given that RB has for some years been practically glued to retreat platforms. Quite what his credentials are for this, or for anything else, remains a mystery. When Mr. Hill appeared on the scene is not quite clear, but one can't help wondering where JD dug up these people from, and why LEF has produced no Indian preachers considered worthy of leading services and preaching to the largely Indian masses who attend.
Probably Mr. Hill's 'doctorate' is as dubious as Joshua Daniel's. Perhaps they purchased them at the same time from the same Chennai back street dealer in 'qualifications for the right price'.
It is sad that Mr. Hill's behaviour spoilt your visit to India, but certain that, even without Mr. Hill, a visit to a Beulah Gardens retreat (or any LEF retreat) would be bound to disturb the peace of mind of any discerning Christian.
Can you reassure us that LEF has little or no influence in Australia, and that Australians are not being 'persuaded' to give money to LEF (a.k.a. the Daniel family coffers).

Mr. Bills is 'one of Joshua Daniel's pets',The other Sid** earns and gives a small portion to the JD family and is pumped up. Only when foreigners like you tell the plain truth about LEF the beginning of the end to LEF will come. DeleteI can sense your out-rage against LD and the Daniel family. Of course there is considerable validity and you speak for the hundreds affected by the cult. But if I may, let me recommend a few things since this takes the tag of our Christian religion and is not secular. It is upto you to take it.
ReplyDeleteLeave the judgments to God. Let us forgive them. Let us be more patient. While we help the victims and educate everyone and prevent newer victims, let us ignore the fate of this family as it is really God's work. I also opine that after 2010, newer victimization does not happen. The people who are there are mostly the ones stuck there for years together and the exit rate of the LEF is very high. So God is in control and He has taken charge. We may sometimes err by trying to do His Work of judging an individual, judging their eternal fate and so on. I never agreed to any of the sermons or the style in which they were preached in the LEF. It was mostly judgmental and theologically inaccurate. I recommend that, that style does not come in returning the bashing on the LEF first family, for we need to overcome evil with love, undo wrong by doing right, remove sin by working righteousness. :) And sometimes we all have that question as to why God in His Infinite Wisdom allows organizations such as the LEF to even be started? We do not know, we may never understand completely. May we not forget to love our enemies and do good to those who hate us too. Apologize if I was being too preachy here in a very wounded environment. :)

DeleteThere is difference between how personal hurts should be dealt with, and how hirelings should be dealt with, and this is made very clear in the New Testament. Remember what Jesus publicly said about the pharisees? How he turned over the tables in the temple?
The Daniels, as hirelings, need to be exposed and required to repent and restore all that they have taken in the name of Christ. Worse, they have misled thousands of vulnerable followers about biblical truth for their own ends. What Jesus said about 'offending ..... little ones' in Mark 9:42 is apposite here.
'Loving them' (the Daniels and their henchmen) can only happen in the context of confronting them with what they have done, and are continuing to do, in the hope and prayer that God will give them the gift of repentance so that they can be forgiven. That is the best 'good' that can be 'done to them'.
Exposure and reprimand is the way in which the apostles, and Jesus himself, dealt with hirelings. It is therefore the pattern they set before us in scripture, and the pattern that we should follow.
If the Daniels had abandoned their abusive LEF lifestyles, made recompense, and faded into the obscurity which their lack of spiritual understanding and abilities deserves, your advice might be more appropriate. However they are still misleading many and living off the proceeds of this. You are not really in a position to affirm that no new abuse has taken place since 2010, as that assertion would require the sort of wide and detailed knowledge that no one person could possess.
Nobody can say what the eternal destiny of any Daniel will be or has been, and I do not think anyone here has made that judgement (which is the type of judgement Jesus was referring to when he said, 'Judge not that ye be not judged'). Discerning deeply-rooted evil within a group that calls itself a Christian fellowship, and exposing it, is a different matter. In such cases continuing efforts must be made to dig the evil out, for it is the honour of Almighty God that is being sullied and the truths of Almighty God that are being distorted. Whether, as flawed people, we always do this in the best way is another question, but it must nevertheless be done whilst the evil continues. Even those who have, as you write, been 'stuck (in LEF) for years together' are worth this effort.
