Here is another letter that was recently sent to John Daniel from an Andhra evangelist asking him to return the property registration papers:
As Mr. Simon did not hear back from John Daniel, he called Gunalan, Daniel family PA to find out if he can help in any way to return the documents. Gunalan apparently referred Mr. Simon to the letter that Joshua Daniel sent in this regard and said that the decision that Joshua Daniel took was final and that neither John Daniel nor anybody will ever dare to reverse Joshua Daniel's verdict.

Anyone who truly believes and respect God's Word, and loves the Lord will know that the time is short, for compromisers as well as for unbelievers. The Reformers died for the freedom in the Lord that you have voluntarily handed over to the evil cult that is LEF, and evil hirelings like the Daniels.

What is this nonsense about not 'dar(ing) to reverse Joshua Daniel 's verdict'? Is this man Daniel some kind of special 'authority' whose utterences or writings must be treated with the same respect as the Bible?

Man's imaginations are endless and powerful. Believing in 'demons' as external, immaterial creatures who invade individuals takes away man's responsibility for his own actions. There are no doubt many evil spirits manifesting in connection with LEF. As someone has indicated above, the wickedness perpetrated by many of its leaders, and by many of the Daniels, indicates that these people are giving reign to manifestations of their naturally evil spirit, and that they are still controlled by their own spirit and not by the Holy Spirit. They are not Christians. The Holy Spirit does not indwell them, hence their own naturally evil spirit dictates their thinking and behaviour.
When Jesus relieved the suffering of the man living amongst the tombs in the country of the Gadarenes, he simply gave the evil spirits (manifestations of the man's own natural spirit,which caused his distressing, frightening behaviour) leave to go, at the man's request. He simply said 'go'. No complicated rituals, no 'exorcisms'. Jesus had that authority. We do not. Jesus himself was the answer to the man obtaining peace and returning 'to his right mind', and the man recognised him.
Joshua Daniel spent decades building his 'demon-chasing' reputation on a common lie, which was accepted by naive people with a poor understanding of the Bible and overactive imaginations (deliberately fostered by Joshua Daniel). He even went so far as to claim that he was 'special ', in that only he had the power to do this satisfactorily. A cunning exponent of crude drama based on deceit (one of the evil spirits comprising man's natural spirit, according to Mark 7: 22).
We should always start with the Bible in our understanding, and not interpret Scripture in accordance with popular cultural thinking, or the inventions of charlatans like Joshua Daniel and his tribe.
A counterfeit is not proof that the real thing doesn't exist.

ReplyDeleteJudge Devadas and his wife wanted to donate their lands to LEF but the late N.Daniel and his wife refused to accept it as it was unethical.They pointed out that Judge Devadas had children and so got into an agreement that Judge Devadas would accept at least the money paid to buy the land.

It would be interesting to find out how exactly they are manipulating the system to have this kind of immunity to practically enjoy the status of "movie star" on LEF stages. Is this Caleb Daniel you are referring to? This guy seems to have forgotten that his marriage was a plain joke. Can someone ask him what were all the "friendships" his wife had before she was married to him? Did his wife just have "friendship" with another guy before marrying Caleb or was it more than that? If he is now having a happy married life even though his wife had something more than "friendship" going on with another guy for a long time before she married him, why does Caleb Daniel unduly worry about girls being friends with boys. Caleb Daniel makes himself the target for these kinds of comments due to his arrogant preaching and his "holier than thou" attitude. Let us not forget that people living in glass houses should not throw stones at others as it will only instigate others to throw stones at these people. In his own self interest and not to be ridiculed in public like this, Caleb sir needs to mellow down and lie low. All his pomp and show needs to be curtailed. I don't think the person who is talking about Caleb on this blog has any problem about whom he married and based on whose favorable reference he married his wife. The problem is that Caleb shows all the typical traits of the Daniel clan. The one trait that infuriates people is acting like all the Daniel clan members are "invincible."

Caleb in fact needs to be appreciated for forgiving her of her past and not harassing her for that and bringing that up all the time. I would say that is Jesus like! If you are going at Caleb for being too much of a holier than thou...fine that may be warranted. But he should be appreciated for not taking a holier than thou attitude about his wife, which I believe is crucial. there are a lot of LEF weddings being destroyed because these fellows start acting all holier than thou even with their wives!!! Unfortunately LEF knowingly or unknowingly teaches people to control women using religion, that is the bigger issue. But I doubt you can accuse Caleb of that.

I totally get that but some of these Daniel clan members are so audacious and arrogant that the only thing that stops them is hitting them below the belt. I don't think people are naturally inclined to sling mud at others and reasonably good person will not resort to this kind of mud slinging. This happens when people are frustrated and are so pushed to a corner and feel powerless to face their oppressors one-on-one. Now your comparison of Caleb to Jesus is a stretch. Let us not even bring God into this and attribute the qualities of God to these barbarians. The love of God is all compassing. You cannot be "Jesus like" in loving your wife and "demon like" while hurting others. That is what we call bipolar disorder in psychiatric terms. If these people are afflicted with this kind of metal disease to be God like with some and devil like with another, there is no reason for them to get on the stage to "preach" to others. As much as you want to protect the "good image" of Caleb and project him as a innocent victim, we also have to know that he is busted like other Daniels for misusing his power. Does Caleb's wife deserve this? No, Absolutely NOT. But we need to understand that many other women who have their lives ripped apart because of the games Caleb and other stooges play at the behest of his all power cousin John Daniel and his aunt Lily Daniel also do not deserve the kind of ridicule they are facing on a daily basis. Remember this Caleb whom you dare to say (rather falsely) is Jesus like was the one who went and ate in the birthday party in a house where both the mom and child were missing. Not only that, he packed food and got it home for his wife children to eat. What gross injustice is that... So, pleae do not project Caleb and his clan as victimized. The whole unbiblical ethos of LEF encourages people to 'think more highly of themselves than they ought'. I don't know Caleb Daniel, but the very fact that he 'performs' with a keyboard at every 'retreat' is worrying. There is no place for 'performances' from the front in real Christian worship, and that goes for everyone, including the daughters of John Daniel. This young man should never have been encouraged to come to prominence. It did him no favours to be pushed into trying to exhibit gifts that he clearly does not have (in either music or preaching). No wonder he has personal problems, or rather, he shares the personal problems characteristic of the rest of his family.

ReplyDeleteHow can any kind of perceived advancement within the discredited and laughable cult known as 'Laymen's Evangelical Fellowship' be described as 'success'? The world has no interest in, or regard for, LEF; the truly Christian community puts LEF and the Daniels in the same bracket as every other cult and promoter of false teaching preoccupied with money and power - although in fact few, if any, reputable, well-known Christian leaders have ever heard of LEF or Joshua Daniel.

If the Daniels, or other LEF people, have stolen from you, please take legal measures to bring them to justice. Otherwise all you have to do is to ignore them all. Everybody else does - other than from time to time pointing out on this site the ridiculousness of their 'prayerful posturing'........
Because they ruined and ruining many lives. According to their own claim nobody knows is Gods blessing and God gives them the right to live as they like and still still LEF convince people. They even liked to be called as holy man and wink at their convincing talent because of LEF backing them. Then people shoukd know whether what they do is Godly or not. Let people decide and it can save some their prey.

DeletePlease read again the whole of Paul's letter to the Galatians, and then TURN YOUR BACKS ON THE LAYMEN'S EVANGELICAL FELLOWSHIP FOREVER. By doing so you disempower John and Lily Daniel, their family members, and their henchmen in one move, Remember, 'A little leaven leavens the whole lump of dough'. Don't try to find salvation or sanctification within the corrupt lump of dough that is LEF.
Doesn't matter how powerful these evil culprits are there is still hope for the trapped who has no way out because God says so in Isaiah 49::

Actually these evil people made LEF worthless they need to be dealt with though they are arrogant thinking nobody knows and what can others do. But. Do not go after a big salary, do not think of buying a house or a car....... we will believe such messages if the Daniel clan gives up its cars and uses the public transport (buses) etc, gives up its houses and lives in rented homes, lives like the rest of the bible college students on an allowance of. Rs.2500 monthly per couple.

Part 1
When I first discovered LEF it was through a book shop outside of India. I was looking for a church group to worship with, and at that time the books sold there seemed largely sound, and the people who ran it seemed genuinely Bible-based. I was puzzled by a whole section devoted to an Indian man called Joshua Daniel whom I had never heard of, although I had been a Christian for some decades, and had attended a Bible College (a real one, nothing to do with LEF).
The group worshipping in the bookshop had no church structure in accordance with New Testament instructions (no elected pastor, elder, or deacon; no church membership; no Biblical disciplinary process). The preaching lacked doctrinal instruction or helpful historical content, and was always centred on condemnation of the hearer's sins and the life and activities of this man, Joshua Daniel, and his father. However there was an attractiveness about those who ran this group. They were kind, dedicated to what they were doing, and seemed to love the Word of God, and I came to regard them as valued friends and Christian brethren. The problem, increasingly, was this man, Joshua Daniel. He visited a couple of times a year in order to conduct meetings known as 'retreats'. He clearly expected to be treated with great reverence, as a man apart from the common mass of believers, a man with authority over people's lives (which God had clearly not given him!). His preaching was rambling and condemning and far too long, given the lack of content. He demanded long prayer meetings, in which people were encouraged to weep. He regarded such falsely induced emotional responses as evidences of the Holy Spirit's activity. His whole ministry was centred on bringing about what he considered to be revival. He never mixed freely with us. He claimed to have conducted healings and exorcisms which had no Biblical authentication. Whilst others would queue up to speak to him, I would avoid him (which was not difficult, as he spent little or no time outside of his quarters). I felt increasingly uncomfortable about the way that he was revered and placed on a pedestal, the way that he expected instant obedience, and seemed to get it from his bookshop disciples and visiting Indians.
It took me some years to realise that I could not continue to worship with a group which gave so much importance to a mere man, and an ungifted one at that (though he did seem to have a carnal ability to command undeserved allegiance). I asked questions about where the tithes and offerings went, and why they found it necessary to consult this man Daniel in the USA about not only minor matters concerning the bookshop etc., but, worryingly, about major decisions concerning their own private lives. None of my questions was answered satisfactorily. I wondered what the Daniels lived on in the USA, who paid for their frequent trips abroad, why they criticised from the pulpit other Indians who had gone abroad quite legitimately to further their careers and provide for their families, yet they themselves had set up home in the USA, apparently relying on money from these very same people they constantly criticised, ordinary LEF attenders.

I felt increasingly compromised in my Christian faith by my attendance at LEF. A couple who had been Daniel devotees since their youth (Joshua Daniel had brokered their marriage and sent them abroad to the bookshop) also began to express disquiet, and eventually politely and respectfully spoke to Joshua and Lily Daniel about their concerns. They were effectively bullied and threatened by Joshua and Lily, who implied that bad things would happen to them if they left LEF, including illness (one of the couple already suffered from a long-term, painful complaint). This was blackmail, undeserved cruelty. The man who was considered to lead the bookshop activities then used a preaching opportunity to condemn any who dared to call into question the activities or opinions of Joshua Daniel. It was at this point that I had to acknowledge that LEF was cultish and unbiblical, and that as a child of God I must separate myself from its evils. I therefore never attended another LEF meeting. I had looked into the writings of Joshua Daniel, which were always prominent in the bookshop. His books are of little worth, either spiritually, or in literary terms. Inevitably they are full of himself and his family history. They give the impression that he is known and respected in Christian circles, which is untrue. Neither did he ever undertake theological training in the UK, as he implied. His books are self-admiring and badly written, which is why no reputable Christian publisher would ever published them, and why Joshua Daniel had to set up his own printing press in order to have them distributed - an endeavour which apparently relies on the unpaid labour of his devotees.
I was approached later by Lily Daniel (I believe that Joshua Daniel did not have the courage to speak to me himself). I made careful notes of our conversation (over two hours), and sent her a record of it. She was quite unable to answer my questions about the bullying that went on, her husband's unwarranted interference in the private lives of LEF attenders, and many other matters I put to her. I never heard from the Daniels again, and the couple they had bullied stopped attending LEF and moved away. As far as I know they are healthy and happy and attending a genuine church, having realised, on their own admission, that the organisation, LEF, to which they had devoted most of their lives, their marriage, their children's welfare, and much more, was in fact unbiblical and damaging.
I occasionally visited the bookshop for some years; I had (and have) major concerns about those who continue there under the domination of the Daniels, especially the wives (although only one couple remains, another having moved further away, and apparently thus avoided such deep involvement). God has graciously given me, over the years, the sound Christian fellowship I sought, and I have never looked back. He has honoured the actions I undertook in respect of LEF.
I was so pleased to see the emergence of the blogs begun by Suniemi and LEF Whistleblowers. I had prayed for those still caught up in LEF, that by some means God might enlighten them. Whilst I feel that some of the many posts are wrongly motivated, and there are some exaggerations, I have been horrified, yet encouraged, to see that my concerns about LEF and the Daniels were fully justified, and that their wrongdoing is far worse and more widespread than I had realised. I am still fond of the bookshop folk, the few that remain, and long for them to realise the truth. I understand a little bit how ties of affection and family can stop people from separating themselves from cultish, corrupt organisations like LEF. There are also those who have a vested interest, who use LEF for their own worldly purposes. However in the end our loyalty is to God, not to human beings, however close to us. God will not hold us guiltless if we continue, by attending, supporting, and saying nothing, to encourage wolves in sheep's clothing to prey on the flock.
Just imagine raising your children in a family where your spouse and inlaws spit these kind of cruel words all your life if you don't support their corruption for their greed and lust for power. It's like living with demons. Yes Jesus does talk about demons. Too many demons to deal with in some of the LEF families. Wolves in sheep clothing. Only Jesus can deal with them.

It's unbecoming of any sane human being to write to his fellow man who's suffering the pain of being robbed of his property. The robber her is Joshua Daniel a.k.a Ahab who skilfully uses the scriptures to harass the suffering man even more. To look solution from JD was like trying to seek freedom from the tormentor himself. It's clear that it this letter was indeed written by JD, he must have been possessed by the spirit of Ahab while writing this letter.
