1. Some are really excited
about meeting their fellow brethren again after a long working week.
2. Some are eagerly anticipating the praise and worship as an opportunity to express
their love to God.
3. Some are keen to hear what God has to say to them through the
sermon that will be preached.
4. Some just want to encounter Christ and have their
hearts tuned to His frequency.
5. There is another dangerous reason for some to head to a church. Some head to a church as they can’t wait to see their Pastor stand on
the pulpit and tingle their ears with a well-thought out sermon filled with "GOSSIP."
Whatever is the reason for going to church, A GREAT DANGER AWAITS THOSE WHO FALL INTO THE TRAP OF IDOLIZING THEIR PASTOR WHICH WILL TRANSLATE INTO WORSHIPING THEIR PASTOR.
What are the dangers people face when a pastor is idolized. The pastor who is idolized starts to get worshiped and this will now give the pastor a SUPER STAR STATUS which will often times makes the pastor ABUSIVE.
Here are some symptoms which Joshua Daniel showed and now John Daniel is also exhibiting that can clearly be labeled as "ABUSE OF POWER."
1. Abusive leaders have a sense of entitlement. Late Joshua Daniel had a sense (and now John Daniel has) of entitlement.
Some folks think more highly of themselves than they ought
to think and believe in their hearts that they are better than any
other human being in what they are doing.
There is no lack for proof for this in Daniel clan leaders.
A. Late JD, even when he couldn't coherently speak would not retreat from LEF pulpits.
B. John Daniel as we see who is no way a great speaker doesn't mind making a fool of himself by "clowning around" on the LEF pulpits than allowing another worthy person to preach.

2. Because of his celebrity status, Late Joshua Daniel thought (and now John Daniel thinks) he is above the law of the land.
When a celebrity leader gets used to having sycophants around him then he is used to getting what he wants, when he wants. Hence, they push aside
boundaries and take law into their own hands.
A. Late JD was notorious for this. There is a story that he proudly shared that he got his 5 month old son, who was born in US (with an American passport) into Mumbai, India without an Indian visa. He had this inflated image of himself that he is not bound by any laws. It is rather ironic that he accused Indian Govt. as being corrupt with "RED TAPE" as the Immigration officers would not allow JD and his wife to bring their son into the country without a valid visa.
B. John Daniel is slowly trying his hand at this. Our earlier post of how he used physical force to snatch away the phone from a Bible college student explains how he just like his dad is thinking that he can take law into his hands.
3. They are
unaccountable to anybody.
Superstar pastors often think no one is qualified to speak
into their lives. Some pastors and leaders think that, since they are so
spiritual and successful, they have reached a point that no one is able to
speak into their lives or teach them anything. When someone attempts to speak
into their lives, they may ask the question in their minds: Is this person as
wealthy as me? Or do they have as many people in their church as I do? They do
this before they even consider hearing what others have to say!
A. The way the LEF is operated is a glaring proof that JD never felt that he was accountable to anybody. He could at his will hire and fire people. He could at will decide who marries whom. He could at his will decide what properties to buy and what properties to sell...Need we say more about his lack of accountability?
B. John Daniel's self appointment (or being appointed by his all powerful dad) to head LEF in itself is a proof that he and his family can run LEF like their fiefdom and that shows that he strongly believes that he is not accountable to anybody. All he needed was the expertise of IC to forge the signatures of the board members.
4. Their self-identity
is subsumed by their ministry identity.
Their success, fueled by
their driving ambition to be respected and known, becomes the primary way they
view themselves. Thus, they lose their core essence and live through a false
sense of success and power.
A. The message was loud and clear - LEF was Joshua Daniel and Joshua Daniel was LEF. This philosophy was so deeply ingrained that if the Daniel family felt like they needed a resort in the middle of a jungle, they could easily get one. All they have to show on paper is that they want to build a prayer hall in the middle of a forest (don't get us wrong...it was not for the wild animals of the forests to congregate but for the wild children of the Joshua Daniel to come to drink and throw parties)
B. John Daniel is a perpetual parasite. The house that he lives in Novi, Michigan was supposed to be a "RETREAT CENTER." When this place was first bought, LEF people from Canada not only contributed their money but also their time to travel down to Michigan to clean up this house and renovate it as they got duped into believing that this house was going to be the "LEF RETREAT CENTER." John and his wife with their numerous children shamelessly live in this house which they know rightfully never belonged to them as they never earned it with their "hard work."
5. They become
narcissistic and manipulate others to fulfill their own needs.
Many superstar leaders abuse their leadership privileges by
manipulating others for their own advantage.
A. Manipulating others was a full-time job for Joshua Daniel. He got manipulated by his evil wife LD and he in turn manipulated everybody who is associated with him.
B. While John Daniel may be a novice at manipulating the people of LEF, he clearly has mastered his game. The way he has eliminated his elder sister (who is trying to become a power center) from LEF with the help of his wicked mom proves that just like his dad and mom, he is also a surreptitious snake.
6. They erroneously
equate the anointing to minister with God's personal favor and cross the line to project themselves to God.
Some believe that, because they preach great messages and
experience the power of God when ministering, that this is a sign of God's
favor upon them, even if they are not living a life of holiness. Scripture
teaches us, through the narrative of Samson, that prioritizing anointing and
power before the fruit of the Spirit will eventually catch up to you and result
in an untimely end to your ministry.
A. In how many different occasions Late JD "HUMBLY" boasted that when he was preaching on the stage, a lot of people reported that they saw angels walking around. He went further and reported that a person touched him without him being aware and later reported that she was healed of her sickness. Of course, all of these stories he "HUMBLY" narrated over and over again from the pulpit to just glorify God and show that he, JD is NOTHING but God is everything.
B. John Daniel may have a lag here but we are sure he will quickly catch on under the tutelage of his mom. After all, didn't somebody make a poor village woman from Andhra come and report that she saw an angel sitting on Lily Daniel's shoulder? It is a totally different matter that this poor woman from Andhra would not have known the difference between an angel and a devil and may have gotten mixed up in her head about what she saw on LD's shoulders.
7. Those closest to
them don't challenge them as they are scared to touch the God's anointed.
Does this scenario that we are presenting below seem familiar with LEF pastors, starting from Late JD to everyone under him?

The LEF first family will learn nothing and forget nothing, it has fooled all for 80 long years, but still I am happy that now those who are interested to know the real face of LEF will have understood the masks. Anyway some 3-5 years more and the structure will collapse

DeleteThe questions raised by Anonymous at 01:08 are very valid. He has not accused any body he is just raising the questions why are you so protective of the JD family. Accountability and transparency are the key words even in the corporate world. Our (I mean LEFs) righteousness must be much more than the wordly standards. When you preach or rather thunder from the pulpits accusing everybody , when people repent and throw away the stolen money back to the people/govt , I think the Daniels owe a lot of explanation to the humble people in LEF. Don t try to shut the mouth of the people who question. The right thing would be to put the pressure on the legal heirs of JD to come out with a white paper on the happenings in LEF. "Did you make such a list about your own mistakes and ask yourself first? " I feel it s a silly question. If we follow your logic, I think we can close down all prosecution /courts etc and wait for a truly righteous person to come and judge all.........

Yes I made a checklist. My families networh is defined and informed to my official employer. I never have stolen offering money, In fact only I have given. I don't push my family members forward so that they can survive on LEF money similar to a pickpocket. My family members have self respect they don't need my surname as a passport to steal. I hate to see the offerings stolen and less than 5% is used in the Lords work. I never refuse payment for the work done by anyone as I obey the Bible which says (even it is a statement by our Lord "The workman is worthy of his wages", In this, I don't twist this and say "I got you a rich educated girl as a bride / slave, this is my wage I pay you for faithful loyal personal service (AKA boot licking"). I spend a major proportion of my money(more than 60%) in the Lords work, not what I collect and spend. So now that I have done what you asked for will you be kind to ask John your Lord and Master, King of the Jungle,Prince of Darkness to kindly answer. Please understand when a person has false Gods, He must also understand that all false Gods have feet of Clay, and the great rock (Christ) will smash all false Gods to powder as King Nebuchadnezzar dreamed, ably interpreted by Daniel (real, not another daniel), so like a broken down phonograph record don't be telling the same old story "Have You checked your life". DeleteThe catalogue of abuse grows ever longer. Please clarify the financial status of LEF 'evangelists' in India. Accounts published here showed that some of them received 200 rupees. This is very little in terms of £s or $s. Was this a monthly amount? Do these men also work? Do they receive expenses or benefits in kind? Are these amounts different depending on who the person is and where they live? One LEF stalwart in the UK in charge of a very small 'centre' and modest book shop seems to receive at least £13,000 pa from LEF. He also works half-time in quite a well-paid industry. He is a 'trustee' of LEF UK. Trustees are not supposed to profit from charitable trusts. Who is listed as the legal owner of the LEF bungalow in London (main bedroom exclusively reserved for 'Daniel use'), current estimated value in the region of £950,000? The separate book shop and meeting room location is about to be re-developed. It is now a 'prime site' in London. To whom will any compensation be paid? What will it be used for?

What, if any, financial advantages do such 'preaching luminaries' as John Branch and Rodney Bills receive from LEF? What a mess of mysteries and contradictions exists in the LEF!
John Daniel was promoted from the platform by his father as a high-flying senior executive of General Motors, and hence financially more than stable in his profession. His father constantly praised him as a man who was well-known for his honesty and not 'able to be bought' as (it was alleged) others in his situation are, in the interests of furthering their careers. It has been suggested here that he has actually been in and out of work over the years, sometimes out of work for three years at a time. If Joshua Daniel never worked in his life, and John is in and out of work, how did they buy homes and feed and clothe their large family? Is it wrong to enquire into the Daniel family's personal circumstances? In Biblical churches the whole membership decides how much its pastor is paid, which information is published annually in the church report. If there is a need for an interim variation, a special church meeting is called. If any member of the Daniel family is being in any way supported by the tithes and offerings of others, then the details of such support need to be made clear to those who support them.
As to their private lives being subject to open scrutiny: this is only to be expected if it becomes clear that they do not practise what they preach. Anyone who is given any kind of responsibility in an allegedly Christian fellowship must be seen to lead a life consistent with Biblical standards. It seems that both Lydia Daniel and Betty Daniel have had, or do still have, such responsibilities.
Unlikely as it seems, there may still be acceptable answers to these questions. If John and Lily Daniel had any integrity they would provide answers. Apparently all they have been able to come up with is to condemn the enquirers as 'barking dogs'. Their failure to respond must, after six months of increasing exposures, be interpreted as indicative of guilt.
Any person of integrity must surely now separate from the LEF and its evils, however painful this may be; and those who are able to separate must help those less able, who are fearful and worried that they will be isolated, bullied, or worse.
'...... Come out from among them and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you...' (2 Cor. 6:17).

John Branch was used by JD to gain an american congregation and John Branch used JD to preach to large congregations (definitely 10-100 times larger than what he had preached in US). John Branch once told " I can preach a nice sermon but I wont". At best it was a mutually beneficial relationship but JD knew when to use and throw him off like he did to so many others

Since he did not have anything substantive or concrete to share, he dragged the boring “bridge building” illustration for almost half hour. It had absolutely no connection to his so called message. JJD’s acting made me throw-up. Both translators must be feeling stupid repeating that nonsense. What a waste of time! Lord have mercy.
John has been "pastoring" the LEFI centre in Detroit since 1990 and in the past 25 years, he has not even gathered 20 people to hear him. His 5 daughters and wife who admire his acting, a Canadian Indian man, his sister-law and perhaps two more people attend his service. What right does such a man who could not gather 25 people in 25 years have to lead an international organization??? WAKE UP PEOPLE IN LEFI

If the this family only has less than 10 non-Daniel family members in their US services after 25 years or more of their hard labors in US, where did the money come from for them to buy a million dollar church property? Also, what justification can they give for investing that kind of money to have a "private church?" I hope they have some good answers to present to IRS. I also hope these jokers won't try the "throw a stone only if you have not sinned" prank on IRS... Sometime there is no knowing as how stupid and arrogant some people can be...?

Man is fallible, sinful and wicked. "The heart is deceitful above all things who can know it."
I to have lots of stories of abuse I could tell, but I fear for those of you who will lose your spiritual life over anger and wrath in all of this.
There are so many of you who had an excellent spirit of prayer and worship and followed God in such a wonderful way that above all else I did not want to leave because of you all. My heart was knit to the bible college students. But by God's grace I looked past the oligarchy at the top and to the Lord and asked Him to use these fallible people to teach me.
So I learned like Joseph did. Oh believe me they meant it for my ill, but God meant it for my good. I grew up spiritually because of it.
I learned that it is dangerous to make Christian celebrities you idol. Yes another form of idolatry. We in India are so good at it. Now I see Indians in other countries doing the same thing when a big preacher comes to town. They have to get a photo and post it on Facebook.
We our selves do it. We made them our Idols!.
Regarding the anointed. The bible enforces the rule of law. Nathan had to tell David (the anointed king of Israel) that he was going to be severely punished for his sin. So brothers our God says "Vengeance is mine I will repay" Maybe it will be through the income tax office and maybe it will be through the IRS as you have suggested, but "Be angry and sin not" Yes take action but the indignation you should feel is that the Lord's glory has not ben exemplified in this. I was profoundly sad to read of IC because I remember a day when he knew how to pray from the heart. I too left because of corruption and cheating that was done to my family. God knows and there is the judgment seat of Christ before which all of us will stand.
The antics of people in the leadership should not surprise those who read the bible.

Shameless people. Yesterday one worthy was preaching, He didn't know / care what he was preaching, all around me people went to sleep, I know that a lot of people had come with real pain and real need, I also knew that they all went back empty and hurt, but the LEF owners didn't care as, as usual the offering was first rate. OK all fine
